Fort Hoo
Fort Hoo, like Fort Darnet was built on the recommendations of the 1859 Royal Commission on an island covering the inner navigable channel of the River Medway, in Medway.
PS Medway Queen
The PS Medway Queen is a paddle driven steamship, the only estuary paddle steamer left in the United Kingdom. She was one of the "little ships of Dunkirk", making a record 7 trips and rescuing 7000 men in the evacuation of Dunkirk. Presently deconstructed, she is the subject of a £1.8 million National Lottery Heritage Memorial Fund grant to restore her hull. Funds are being raised to restore the rest of her to operational condition.
High Halstow Halt railway station
High Halstow Halt was a Halt between Cliffe and Sharnal Street stations on the Hundred of Hoo Railway. It was opened in July 1906 and closed to passengers on 4 December 1961. The halt was 1¾ miles from Cliffe station. Sharnal Street railway station
Sharnal Street station was a railway station between High Halstow Halt and Beluncle Halt on the Hundred of Hoo Railway. It was opened on 1 April 1882 and closed to passengers on 4 December 1961 and freight on 20 August 1962. It originally only had one platform, a second platform was built in 1935. The station buildings were demolished in 1967.

Hoo is a village and a civil parish in the Suffolk Coastal district, in the county of Suffolk, England. Nearby settlements include the town of Wickham Market and the villages of Kettleburgh, Charsfield and Letheringham.
Fort Gillingham
Fort Gillingham, also known as Gillingham Fort, was constructed in 1669 on the south bank of the River Medway. In conjunction with Cockham Wood Fort it took on the role of defending Chatham Dockyard from seaborne attack, a role which had been performed by Upnor Castle for the previous hundred years. Fort Gillingham was demolished long ago, but its ramparts and ditches are clearly shown on the 1869 O. S. map and the site identified as a coastguard station.
Cockham Wood Fort
Cockham Wood Fort was constructed in 1669 on the north bank of the River Medway. In conjunction with Fort Gillingham it took on the role of defending Chatham Dockyard from seaborne attack, a role which had been performed by Upnor Castle for the previous hundred years. The fort was abandoned around 1818 after several decades of gradual dilapidation.
