Afflecks
Afflecks (formerly Affleck's Palace) is a building housing an indoor market located at the junction of Church Street/Tib Street and Dale Street with Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter of Manchester in England. Dozens of independent stalls, small shops and boutiques operate in the one building. The building was once occupied by a department store called Affleck and Brown, hence the name.
Ancoats and Clayton
Ancoats and Clayton is an electoral district or ward in the north of the City of Manchester in North West England. It includes the Ancoats and Clayton districts and part of the Northern Quarter. Voters from this ward elect three councillors to Manchester City Council. The Greater Manchester County Record Office (GMCRO) is an archive of primary materials relating to the heritage of Greater Manchester, in North West England; it is located in Manchester city centre. Opened in 1976, the main function of the GMCRO is to store historical records relating to the Greater Manchester, and to make them available for members of the public for research. There are 4 miles of shelving of records, which date back to 1197.
Cheshire Ring
The Cheshire Ring is a canal cruising circuit or canal ring, which includes sections of six canals in and around Cheshire and Greater Manchester in North West England: the Ashton Canal, Peak Forest Canal, Macclesfield Canal, Trent and Mersey Canal, Bridgewater Canal and Rochdale Canal. Because it takes boats approximately one week to complete the circuit, it is suited to narrowboat holidays that start at and return to the same location. The route has 92 locks and is 97 miles long.

River Tib
The River Tib is a minor tributary of the River Medlock, in Greater Manchester, England. It has been culverted along its entire length since probably about 1820, and now runs beneath Manchester city centre. 111 Piccadilly
111 Piccadilly, formerly Rodwell Tower or Rodwell House, is a high rise office development in Manchester, England, owned by Bruntwood which was opened in 1965. The tower is 64 metres which makes it the joint-twelfth tallest building in Manchester. The building is located at the corner of Ducie Street (near Station Approach which leads to Manchester's main railway station, Manchester Piccadilly). It is the last building in Piccadilly which continues here as London Road.
Murrays' Mills
Murrays' Mills is a complex of former cotton mills on land between Jersey Street and the Rochdale Canal in the district of Ancoats, Manchester, England. The mills were built for brothers Adam and George Murray. The first mill on the site, Old Mill, was begun in 1797, and is the world's oldest surviving urban steam-powered cotton spinning factory.
Daily Express Building, Manchester
The Daily Express Building, located on Great Ancoats Street, Manchester, is a Grade II* listed building which was designed by engineer, Sir Owen Williams. It was built in 1939 to house one of three Daily Express offices; the other two similar buildings are located in London and Glasgow. The pre-World War II building is notable for its timeless quality and is often mistaken for being much younger than it is due to its futuristic avant garde appearance.
Beehive Mill
Beehive Mill is a Grade II* listed former cotton mill in the district of Ancoats, Manchester, England. It is located at on a site surrounded by Radium Street, Jersey Street, Bengal Street and Naval Street. The building was constructed in three phases, the first two being in the early 1820s with the third phase being added in 1847. The second phase, built in 1824 and used as warehousing is an important example of early fireproof construction.
Manchester Oldham Road railway station
Manchester Oldham Road was a railway station built on the Manchester and Leeds Railway (M&LR) in Miles Platting, Greater Manchester. Built in 1839 and opened on 3 July, it was the Manchester terminus for the railway.

Dale Street Warehouse
Dale Street Warehouse is an early nineteenth century warehouse in the Piccadilly Basin area of Manchester. It is a Grade II* listed building as of 10 November 1972. "It is of considerable interest as the earliest surviving canal warehouse in the city". The building is dated 1806 with initials "WC" on the datestone indicating that it was designed by William Crosley, an engineer who worked with William Jessop on the inner-Manchester canal system.
McConnel & Kennedy Mills
McConnel & Kennedy Mills are a group of cotton mills on Redhill Street in Ancoats, Manchester, England. With the adjoining Murrays' Mills, they form a nationally important group. The complex consists of six mills, Old Mill built in 1797, Long Mill from 1801 and Sedgewick Mill built between 1818–1820.

Oldham Street
Oldham Street is in Manchester city centre and forms part of the city's historic Northern Quarter district. The Northern Quarter dominated by buildings that were built before World War II. The street runs from Piccadilly to Great Ancoats Street on the edge of Ancoats, beyond which it continues northwards as Oldham Road, the A62. The street is part of Manchester which is on a tentative list as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Methodist Central Hall stands on the east side.

Gateway House, Manchester
Gateway House in Manchester, England, is a modernist office block above a row of shops designed by Richard Seifert & Partners and completed in 1969. It replaced a row of 19th-century railway warehouses on the approach to Manchester Piccadilly station. The building, nicknamed the "lazy S" was reputedly designed as a doodle.
Brownfield Mill
Brownfield Mill, Binns Place, Great Ancoats Street, Manchester, England, is an early nineteenth century room and power mill constructed in 1825. Hartwell describes it as "unusually complete and well preserved. " It is a Grade II* listed building. The building housed the Avro, A.V. Roe and Company aviation factory in the early twentieth century.
3MT Venue
3MT Venue, also known just as 3MT, is the Three Minute Theatre in Afflecks Arcade, Oldham Street, Manchester, England. It is a small, 70-seat independent theatre, cinema and music venue established in 2010. It has a licensed bar. It is the host of the Afflecks Fringe Festival and the starting point of many new plays and bands.
107 Piccadilly
107 Piccadilly is a Grade-II building on Lena Street in Manchester, England. Situated near Piccadilly Gardens, it was originally built as a packing warehouse and showroom with offices for cotton manufacturer Sparrow Hardwick & Company. It was designed by influential Mancunian architect Charles Heathcote in a lively Jacobean-Baroque style. The building was completed in 1899. The exterior consists of red sandstone and red brick.
50 Newton Street
50 Newton Street is a Grade II listed former warehouse in Manchester, England. Located on Newton Street in the Northern Quarter area, it was built in 1900 by a design from Clegg & Knowles. It was designed with a degree of flair and panache and is described by English Heritage as an example of "Free Baroque" architecture. It was originally built as a warehouse, believed to be for a hat manufacturer.
Old Mill, Manchester
Old Mill, completed in 1798 as part of Murrays' Mills, is the oldest surviving cotton mill in Manchester, England. Sited on the Rochdale Canal in Ancoats, it was powered by a Boulton and Watt steam engine, and its narrow six-storey brick structure "came to typify the Manchester cotton mill". Old Mill was designated a Grade II* listed building on 20 June 1988.
