Birchwood is a housing estate in the south of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The estate has a number of schools, including St Hughes Catholic Primary School and Leslie Manser Primary School which is named after Leslie Manser. This school has a small museum dedicated to finds found on the site when it was excavated, including the wing of a Spitfire. Skellingthorpe railway station is a former railway station in Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed by British Railways in 1955 It was the only LD&ECR station in Lincolnshire, since to the east it joined the GNR line at Pyewipe Junction into Lincoln.

Hartsholme Country Park lies about 3 miles southwest of the city centre of Lincoln in the East Midlands of England. Hartsholme Country Park covers more than 200 acres and was designated in 1974 and opened in 1979. It contains a camping area for tents, caravans and motor caravans, lakes and ornamental grounds originally the work of Edward Milner dating from the mid-nineteenth century. It holds the Green Flag Award. Access is from the Skellingthorpe Road.
