Battle of Gainsborough
The Battle of Gainsborough was a battle in the English Civil War, fought on 28 July 1643. Battle of Gainsborough Part of the First English Civil War view of Gainsborough battlefield, taken at the summit of Foxby Hill where the Royalist Army was positioned.
A156 road
The A156 road runs from the A57 and heads north to Gainsborough. The road runs entirely within Lincolnshire right next to the border with Nottinghamshire. It is a single carriageway for its entire length apart from one small stretch at Torksey Lock where the A1133 joins from Newark-on-Trent. It is approximately 11 miles long. The road starts just west of Saxilby where it branches of from the A57 from Lincoln. It heads northwest through the village of Fenton.

Heynings Priory
Heynings Priory was a priory in Knaith, Lincolnshire, England. The priory of Heynings was founded by Rayner de Evermue, Lord of Knaith, for Cistercian nuns, probably early in the reign of King Stephen, and the patronage of the house remained with the lords of Knaith through most of its history. Rayner de Evermue died before its completion, leaving them with a meagre endowment which left them extremely poor. The priory was dissolved in 1539 by Jane Sanford, Prioress, and eleven nuns.
