RAF Woodhall Spa was a Royal Air Force station in Lincolnshire, England.
Pan Am Flight 103
Pan Am Flight 103, also commonly referred to as the Lockerbie bombing, was the bombing of a Pan Am transatlantic flight from London Heathrow Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Wednesday, 21 December 1988. A Boeing 747–121, named Clipper Maid of the Seas, was destroyed by an explosive device killing all 243 passengers and 16 crew members. Large sections of the plane crashed into Lockerbie, in southern Scotland, killing an additional 11 people on the ground.
Kirkstead Abbey
Kirkstead Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery in Kirkstead, Lincolnshire, England. The monastery was founded in 1139 by Hugh Brito, (or Hugh son of Eudo), lord of Tattershall, and was originally colonised by an abbot and twelve monks from Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire. The original site was not large enough however, and Robert, son of Hugh, found a better site a short distance away in 1187.
St Leonard's Without
The church of St Leonard’s Without is a small chapel built between 1230 and 1240 in the parish of Kirkstead, Lincolnshire. It is an excellent example of the Early English style and even though measuring only 12.8 metres by 5.8 metres it is up to “Cathedral standards” of construction and may well have been built as a chantry chapel in memory of Robert de Tattershall, who died in 1212.
The Kinema in the Woods
The Kinema in the Woods is a cinema in the village of Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, England. It dates from 1922, and it is the only fully functioning cinema in the UK to employ back projection. The building that houses the Kinema was originally a farm building, and after that, a concert pavilion. In 1906, it became the cricket pavilion for Petwood House (later the Petwood Hotel) and was converted in 1922 by Captain (later Major) C. C. Allport into the Pavilion Cinema.
Woodhall Junction railway station
Woodhall Junction railway station (previously called Kirkstead Station) is a former station in Woodhall, Lincolnshire. It served as a junction where several different lines met, none of which are still open. The station opened in 1848 as part of the "Lincolnshire Loop Line" between Lincoln and Boston which largely followed the course of the River Witham.
Woodhall Spa railway station
Woodhall Spa railway station was a station in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire on a small branch line running north from Woodhall Junction to Horncastle. Both the station and the line are now closed. In 1846 the Great Northern rail company purchased the land to build a 58 miles rail link from Peterborough to Lincoln via Spalding and Boston with the Boston to Lincoln section being built along the banks of the River Witham. Works commenced in 1847 and the line opened on 17 October 1848.

Woodhall Spa Golf Club is a private golf club in England, that is located to the north of Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. The club was founded in 1891. In 1995 the club was purchased by the English Golf Union, who have since relocated their headquarters onto the site, which is now known as the National Golf Centre.
