Harlaxton Manor

Harlaxton Manor, built in 1837, is a manor house located in Harlaxton, Lincolnshire, England. Its architecture, which combines elements of Jacobean and Elizabethan styles with symmetrical Baroque massing, renders the mansion unique among surviving Jacobethan manors. The manor is a popular location for filming. Sedgebrook railway station

Sedgebrook railway station was a former station on the Ambergate, Nottingham, Boston and Eastern Junction Railway between Nottingham to Grantham opened in 1850. The line was leased to the Great Northern Railway in 1855 but remained nominally independent until taken over by the London and North Eastern Railway in 1923. The station was closed, in 1956: see List of closed railway stations in Britain.

Grantham Ambergate Yard railway station

Grantham Ambergate Yard railway station was first opened by the Ambergate, Nottingham, Boston and Eastern Junction Railway in 1850 between Grantham and Nottingham as its first terminus. In some literature it is referred to as "Old Wharf. " However that may have been its location adjacent to the Grantham Canal. When the Great Northern Railway arrived in 1852, the ANB&EJR acquired running rights into its station. The station closed on 1 August 1852.

Newbo Abbey

Newbo Abbey was a Premonstratensian house of canons regular in Lincolnshire, England, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. Newbo was founded in about 1198 very close to Sedgebrook by Richard de Malebisse or Malbis (d. 1209). Malbis, as one of the judges itinerant of York and heavily in debt to a Jewish banker, had instigated in 1190 a pogrom against the Jews of the city, which may have cost as many as 500 lives.
