Battle of Bosworth Field
The Battle of Bosworth (or Bosworth Field) was the last significant battle of the Wars of the Roses, the civil war between the Houses of Lancaster and York that raged across England in the latter half of the 15th century. Fought on 22 August 1485, the battle was won by the Lancastrians. Their leader Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond, by his victory became the first English monarch of the Tudor dynasty. His opponent, Richard III, the last king of the House of York, was killed in the battle.

The Battlefield Line Railway is a heritage railway in Leicestershire, England. It runs from Shackerstone to Shenton, via Market Bosworth, a total of 5 miles . Shenton is near Bosworth Field, (the location of the final battle of the Wars of the Roses immortalised in Shakespeare's Richard III), giving the railway its name.

Ambion Hill is a hill in Leicestershire, England near the town of Market Bosworth where, traditionally, the Battle of Bosworth Field is supposed to have been fought. This has been disputed by historians and research has started to ascertain the truth about what was called, at the time, the Battle of Redemore.
Shenton
Shenton is a hamlet in Leicestershire. It is the southern terminus of the Battlefield Line Railway, which runs to here from Shackerstone. The station is located at the foot of Ambion Hill and is actually the reconstructed Humberstone Road Station from Leicester. The original station being demolished in the 1940s? except for a small lamp room that now serves as the Station Pottery. In the graveyard is buried Admiral Sir Alexander Dundas Young Arbuthnott It is a short drive from the M1 motorway.

Shenton railway station is located about 0.5 miles from the village of Shenton, Leicestershire, England. It is the current southern terminus of the Battlefield Line Railway, which runs to here from Shackerstone. Market Bosworth railway station
Market Bosworth railway station is a former stop on the London and North Western Railway and the Midland Railway, who jointly operated the line between Moira West Junction and Nuneaton as the Ashby and Nuneaton Joint Railway. The station is to the west of the market town of Market Bosworth. Nowadays it is part of the heritage Battlefield Line Railway, some 3 miles to the south of the railway's base at Shackerstone.
Shenton Hall
Shenton Hall is a 17th century country house at Shenton, Leicestershire. It is a Grade II* listed building. The 2,300-acre estate at Shenton was purchased in 1625 by William Wollaston (1581–1666) and he built the house in the Jacobean style of the day. The detached gatehouse, also Grade II*, incorporates a date stone WW 1629 Wollaston and his son both served as High Sheriff of Leicestershire. On the latter's death in 1688 he estate passed to a cousin William Wollaston, writer and philosopher.
Gas Museum (Leicester)
The Gas Museum, also known as the National Gas Museum, is situated in the former gatehouse of a gasworks in Leicester, England, and deals with the history of domestic and industrial gas supply. It is claimed to be "the biggest collection of gas and gas related artefacts in the world". The building is a Grade II listed building, dating from 1878, with a clock tower. The public museum is on two floors, with over 4000 items in storage.
