Charnwood Forest
Charnwood Forest is an upland tract in north-western Leicestershire, England, bounded by Leicester, Loughborough, and Coalville. The area is undulating, rocky and picturesque, with barren areas. It also has some extensive tracts of woodland; its elevation is generally 600 ft (180 m) and upwards, the area exceeding this height being about 6,100 acres . The highest point, Bardon Hill, is 912 ft (278 m).
Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust
The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust is a wildlife trust covering the counties of Leicestershire and Rutland, England. Founded in 1956, (originally under the name "Leicestershire and Rutland Trust for Nature Conservation") the trust now has 9,000 members helping care for over 30 nature reserves covering more than 2,600 acres across the region. The best known of these nature reserves is the Rutland Water Nature Reserve, managed on behalf of Anglian Water.

Ulverscroft is a civil parish in the Charnwood district of Leicestershire. It has a population of about 100. There is no village by the name, but there was previously an Ulverscroft Priory. There are some good examples of early Arts and Crafts movement architecture in and around Ulverscroft.
Cliffe Hill Mineral Railway
The Cliffe Hill Mineral Railway was an industrial narrow gauge railway that connected the Cliffe Hill granite quarry to the nearby London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) between Leicester and Coalville. The line opened in 1896 and operated until 1948.
South Charnwood High School
South Charnwood High School is a coeducational middle school located between the villages of Markfield and Thornton in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire, England. The school was established in 1935 thus various additions to the school have been made since. The current headmaster is Mr. Andrew Morris. In 1975, the school began enrolling pupils at the school one year prior than the usual transfer system.
Ulverscroft Priory
Ulverscroft Priory was founded by Robert de Bossu, Earl of Leicester in 1134 as a priory for eremites of the Order of St Augustine. It was closely connected with the Lords Ferrars of Groby. The last Prior was Geoffrey Whalley. On the suppression of the Priory in 1539, Whalley was granted a pension of £20. The Priory estate at this time comprised 957 acres with a further 700 acres in Charnwood Forest, 300 cattle, 1,000 sheep and 60 swine.
Bradgate House
Bradgate House was built in 1856 for the seventh Earl of Stamford, George Harry Grey. Intended as a replacement for the Bradgate House of 1520, built by his ancestor Thomas Grey, 2nd Marquess of Dorset and home of Lady Jane Grey, the house was built in a Jacobean style on a site 2 miles south-west of Bradgate Park. The large, handsome mansion was referred to as "Calendar House", supposedly having 365 windows, 52 rooms and 12 main chimneys. The Earl of Stamford was known for his extravagance.
