Blaston
Blaston is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire. It is a small parish with a population of 54 according to the 2001 census. The village is near Nevill Holt, Medbourne and Hallaton. The parish church of St Giles was rebuilt in 1878. Blaston was first mentioned in Domesday Book and the name probably means the settlement of Bleath (an Anglo-Saxon).

The parish includes the deserted Othorpe village at grid reference SP770956. The village is characterised by Slawston Hill at SP782941, 131 metres in height.
Hallaton
Hallaton is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 523. The parish church is dedicated to St Michael and is mainly of the 13th century: the aisles were added a century later. The village has a famous bottle kicking ritual and "Hare Pie Scramble", which take place usually on Easter Monday. There is a small village museum, offering history of the area.
Hallaton Rural District
The rural district of Hallaton existed in Leicestershire, England from 1894 to 1935. It included the following civil parishes, which were the parts of the Uppingham Rural Sanitary District in Leicestershire. Blaston Bringhurst Drayton Great Easton Hallaton Horninghold Medbourne Nevill Holt Stockerston In 1935 it was merged into the Market Harborough Rural District, under the review caused by the Local Government Act 1929.
Hallaton Castle
Hallaton Castle was situated to the west of the village of Hallaton, which lies some 20 km to the south-east of the city of Leicester. This was an interesting motte and bailey castle with an additional rectangular enclosure now surviving as an earthwork, 118 feet high, and 630 feet in circumference, on which stood the keep, occupying, with the outworks, about 2 acres of ground. The earthworks only are present today.
Hallaton railway station
Hallaton railway station was a former railway station serving the village of Hallaton, Leicestershire, on the Great Northern and London and North Western Joint Railway. The station was located about a quarter of a mile east of the village on the road to Horninghold. The station opened in 1879 and closed to regular traffic in 1953. The Leicester to Peterborough service was withdrawn in 1916. To the south-west was Welham Junction.
East Norton railway station
East Norton railway station was a railway station serving the village of East Norton, Leicestershire. The station was half a mile east of the village on the north side of the Uppingham to Leicester road, now the A47. on the Great Northern and London and North Western Joint Railway.
