Burton on the Wolds
Burton on the Wolds is a village situated on the B676 road 3 miles west of the A46 in Leicestershire and has a population of around 800. The Parish Council of Burton on the Wolds, Cotes and Prestwold serves the village and its two neighbouring hamlets. The local borough council is Charnwood. Burton has its own primary school, pub and shop (in the garage), with most of the village life centreing at the pub, The Greyhound, and village hall, and the village is famous for its Lion's Head fountain.
Barrow-upon-Soar railway station
Barrow-upon-Soar railway station serves the large village of Barrow-upon-Soar in Leicestershire, England. The station is located on the Midland Main Line between Leicester and Loughborough. The first station at Barrow was opened in 1840 by the Midland Counties Railway, which shortly joined the North Midland Railway and the Birmingham and Derby Junction Railway to form the Midland Railway. It was originally known simply as Barrow, but became Barrow-upon-Soar in 1871.

Prestwold Hall
Prestwold Hall is a country house in Leicestershire, England, and in the parish of Prestwold. It was remodelled by William Burn in 1842–1844 and is maintained in that style, incorporating the fabric of a mid 18th Century H-plan house. It was Grade I listed in 1951. It was the site of the 2012 Convoy for Heroes Land Rover event. which raised around £10,000. Convoy for Heroes will return to Prestwold Hall again at Easter 2013.
