Highcross Leicester
Highcross Leicester is a shopping centre in Leicester, England. Highcross Leicester opened on 4th September 2008 and contains over 120 shops, with a range of both large and smaller units, including branches of the department stores House of Fraser, Debenhams and John Lewis. There are also 15 restaurants and cafés, a cinema and two large car parks.
Abbey Park, Leicester
Abbey Park is a public park in Leicester, England, owned and managed by Leicester City Council through which the River Soar flows. The park contains the remains of the 12th century Leicester Abbey and the ruins of Cavendish House (built in the 17th century by William Cavendish, 1st Earl of Devonshire using stone from the abbey). The house was used by Charles I after the siege of Leicester during the English civil war in 1645; after he left, his soldiers set fire to it leaving the house gutted.
Leicester Market
Leicester Market is a market in The City of Leicester, England, on Market Place just south of the clock tower. It is open Monday to Saturday and has over 270 stalls. It is around 800 years old but was moved to the current site around 700 years ago. It is the largest outdoor covered market in Europe. The outdoor market sells a wide variety of goods, particularly fruit and vegetables, but also flowers, clothes, second-hand-books, bric-a-brac and jewellery.

Leicester Abbey, the Abbey of Saint Mary de Pratis ("St Mary of the Meadows"), standing about a mile (2 km) north of the city of Leicester in the riverside meadows on the west bank of the River Soar, was founded c. 1140 under the patronage of Robert le Bossu, Earl of Leicester. It was founded as a community of Augustinian Canons, the canons regular of the Order of Saint Augustine.

Belgrave is an electoral ward and administrative division of the city of Leicester, England, consisting of the Leicester suburb of Belgrave in its entirety. The old Belgrave Village is on the Loughborough Road, to the west of the A46, known at that point as 'Melton Road'.
Haymarket Theatre (Leicester)
The Haymarket Theatre was a theatre in Leicester, England, based in the Haymarket Shopping Centre on Belgrave Gate in Leicester city centre. The theatre closed at the end of 2006 and has been replaced by the Curve Theatre. The last show on was Wizard of Oz starring Helena Blackman and Ceri Dupree. The venue has had a mixed history of successes and failures, suffering a brief closure from 2003 to 2004 due to financial problems.
St Matthew's, Leicester
The St Matthew's estate is an area of inner city Leicester. It lies immediately to the northeast of the city centre and is bounded by the A594 ring road to the southwest, the Belgrave Road to the northwest and Humberstone Road to the southeast. To the northeast it is separated from Belgrave by former railway land. It has a population of approximately 4,000 and is named after the Anglican church of St Matthew's.

Haymarket Shopping Centre
The Haymarket Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in the city centre of Leicester, England. It opened in 1973, and is located immediately to the east of the Clock Tower. The shopping centre is owned by ING Real Estate Investment Management. The Haymarket is bounded by Haymarket and Belgrave Gate to the north, Charles Street to the east, and Humberstone Gate to the south. To the west it fronts onto the Clock Tower area. Most of the frontage is red brick.
Golden Mile (Leicester)
The Golden Mile is a name given to a stretch of the Belgrave Road in Leicester, United Kingdom. The origin of the name is often, mistakenly attributed to the many shops selling gold jewellery. In fact, the name was first used in the late 1960s and early 1970s when a proliferation of yellow-amber traffic lights appeared along a short stretch of road (one mile to be exact). While commonplace now, at the time it was unique in Leicester.
Belgrave Hall
Belgrave Hall is a Queen Anne-style house built for Edmund Cradock in 1709 in the midst of 2 acres of walled gardens in Belgrave, Leicester. It is a Grade II* listed building. Between 1767-1844 it was the home of the Vann family who in about 1776 built the nearby Belgrave House. Following its sale to the local authority the Hall was opened to the public in 1936 as a museum.

Leicester Secular Hall
Leicester Secular Hall is a Grade II Listed Building built in 1881 for Leicester Secular Society by The Leicester Secular Hall Co. Ltd, all the shareholders of which were Secularists, led by Josiah Gimson a Leicester engineer and councillor who held the largest number of shares. Ownership of the Hall subsequently passed to the Leicester Rationalist Trust. The building is located in the centre of Leicester at 75 Humberstone Gate. It was designed by W Larner Sugden of Leek.
Frog Island, Leicester
Frog Island is an inner city area of Leicester, England, so named because it lies between the River Soar and the Soar Navigation (a continuation of the Grand Union Canal). Frog Island is adjacent to the Woodgate area to the north, and Northgates to the South.
A607 road
The A607 is an A road in England that starts in Leicester and heads northeastwards through Leicestershire and the town of Grantham, Lincolnshire, terminating at Bracebridge Heath, a village on the outskirts of Lincoln. It is a trunk road from Thurmaston to the A1 junction at Grantham.
St Margaret's Bus Station
St Margaret's Bus Station is located on Gravel Street to the north of Leicester City Centre, England. {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:52.6393|N|1.1342|W|type:landmark_region:GB|||| |primary |name= }} The bus station was built in 1985 and at the time was a state-of-the-art arrival and departure point in the city. Councillor Derek Fryett, Chair of the Planning Committee opened it on 3 May 1985. The contractor was Costain Construction.

Curve is a theatre in Leicester, England, based in the Cultural quarter in Leicester City Centre. Before being named Curve, it was referred to as Leicester Performing Arts Centre. It is adjacent to the Leicester Athena conference and banqueting centre.
Peepul Centre
The Peepul Centre is an arts centre in Belgrave, Leicester. Designed by Andrzej Blonski Architects, the £15 million building was opened in 2005 and houses an auditorium, restaurant, cyber café, gym and dance studio for the local people, as well as being used for conferences and events. The centre has even been host to Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other senior Labour Party figures for hustings during the deputy leadership contest.
Silver Arcade
Silver Arcade is a Grade II listed building in the centre of Leicester, England. A former shopping arcade, Silver Arcade was built by Amos Hall in 1889. The top floor was closed off in 2000, leaving the units on the ground floor occupied by a number of independent retailers. In 2008, the centre was the focus of a campaign by the Leicester Civic Society to reopen it. In 2010, plans were announced to reopen the top floors.
Donington le Heath Manor House Museum
Donington le Heath Manor House Museum is a surviving example of a manor house built around seven hundred years ago in Donington le Heath, near the town of Coalville, Leicestershire. Barker's Ground
Barker's Ground was a cricket ground in Leicester, Leicestershire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1825, when Leicester played Sheffield. The first first-class match came in 1836, when the North played the South. The North used the ground for 4 further first-class matches up to 1846, including the grounds final first-class match between the North and the Marylebone Cricket Club.

St Margaret's Church, Leicester
St Margaret's Church is an ancient Anglican parish church situated on St Margaret's Way in Leicester, England. It has been designated a Grade I listed building by English Heritage. Parts of the transept date from c. 1200, and parts of the aisles from the late 13th century. Most of the church was rebuilt in Perpendicular style c. 1444, under William Alnwick, the Bishop of Lincoln. The west tower, which is 108 feet high, was built at that time.
