Lancashire
Lancashire is a non-metropolitan county of historic origin in the North West of England. It takes its name from the city of Lancaster, and is sometimes known as the County of Lancaster. Whittingham Hospital Railway
The Whittingham Hospital Railway (W.H.R. ) was a private light railway operated by Lancashire County Council to serve Whittingham lunatic asylum. Opened in 1889, it carried goods and passengers between Grimsargh on the Preston and Longridge Railway and the hospital grounds. It closed to all traffic in 1957.

Brockholes (nature reserve)
Brockholes is a nature reserve near Preston, Lancashire, England, just off Junction 31 of the M6 motorway. It is owned by the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside, and has the UK's first floating visitor village. The land was bought by the Trust in January 2007, and the reserve opened to the public at Easter 2011. It was previously a major quarry extraction site.
