Woodvale railway station

Woodvale railway station was located in Woodvale, Merseyside. The Southport & Cheshire Lines Extension Railway opened Woodvale on 1 September 1884. However, it was named 'Woodville & Ainsdale' from opening until 1 May 1898 and was renamed Woodvale thereafter. The station was built on an embankment crossing Liverpool Road and was well known for its floral displays situated on both platforms.

Mossbridge railway station

Mossbridge railway station was located on Downholland Moss at Moss Lane, Lancashire. The Southport & Cheshire Lines Extension Railway (SCLER) opened Mossbridge on 1 September 1884. The station first closed in 1917, along with all other stations on the extension line, due to World War I economy measures. However, unlike the other stations on the route, which reopened in 1919 and enjoyed regular services until 1952, Mossbridge never reopened.

Altcar and Hillhouse railway station

Altcar and Hillhouse was a railway station located on the Southport & Cheshire Lines Extension Railway near Great Altcar, Lancashire. The station opened on 1 September 1884, and from 1887 to 1926 also served as the southern terminus of the Liverpool, Southport and Preston Junction Railway, which it connected with at Hillhouse Junction, between Altcar and Mossbridge. Thereafter, the southern terminus of the LSPJR regular services became Barton (or Downholland as it was occasionally known).

Formby Hall

Formby Hall is located to the north-east of Formby in the English metropolitan county of Merseyside, in secluded woodland adjoining the Formby Hall Golf and Country Club. St Michael and All Angels Church, Altcar, is to the west of the village of Great Altcar, West Lancashire, England. The church is timber-framed and is designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building. It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Liverpool, the archdeaconry of Liverpool and the deanery of Sefton. Its benefice is combined with that of St Stephen's, Hightown. In the Buildings of England series it is described as "an utterly charming church".
