East Malling railway station
East Malling railway station serves the village of East Malling in Kent, and is close to Ditton, Larkfield and Leybourne. The station, and most trains serving it, are operated by Southeastern. The station is at high level, adjacent to the railway bridge over the High Street, and the platforms are accessed by steps from street level: there are no lifts.
East Barming
East Barming is a village in the civil parish of Barming in the Maidstone District of Kent, England. The village is located on the A26 road out of Maidstone, three miles (4.8 km) from the town centre, and is virtually part of its built-up area. In the Domesday Book there are two villages mentioned: West Barming and East Barming. The former had a parish church, closed in the 16th century. Its ecclesiastic parish is now part of Nettlestead parish.
Teston Crossing Halt railway station
Teston Crossing Halt was situated on what is now the Medway Valley Line, south of Maidstone, in Kent, and served Teston and West Farleigh. It opened on 1 September 1909 and closed on 2 November 1959. The location of the halt was to the south of the level crossing.
Barham Court
Barham Court is a fine old house in the village of Teston, Kent. It was once the home of Reginald Fitz Urse, one of the knights who murdered Thomas Beckett in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. As a result of that deed, Fitz Urse fled to Ireland and the manor passed into the ownership of his kinsman, Robert de Berham. The de Berham family (now called Barhams) became one of the great families in Kent. But at the end of Elizabeth I's reign, the property passed to Sir Oliver Boteler and his wife, Anne.
