Sandling railway station
Sandling railway station serves Sandling in Kent, England. The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by Southeastern. The station is also 4+⁄2 miles west of Folkestone Central on the South Eastern Main Line. It is the closest station to the town of Hythe. The ticket office is manned only during part of the day; at other times a PERTIS 'permit to travel' machine, located outside the station building on the 'up' side, suffices.

Saltwood Castle is a castle in Saltwood village—which derives its name from the castle—1 mile (2 km) north of Hythe, Kent, England. The castle is known as the site where the plot was hatched to assassinate Thomas Becket (1118–1170). More recently, it became the home of the art historian Lord Clark of Saltwood (1903–1983), then his son Alan Clark (1928–1999), a minister in Margaret Thatcher's government.
St Martin's Plain
The area known as St Martin's Plain is located to the west of Cheriton, part of Folkestone, Kent, England. It is used by the British Army from Shorncliffe Camp for training; during wartime, and especially during World War I and World War II temporary camps were built here. Saltwood Miniature Railway was a 7.25 gauge miniature railway which first opened in Sheffield, but subsequently relocated to Saltwood in Kent, England. Until its final closure in 1987 the Saltwood Miniature Railway was an important part of community life in Saltwood. In wider terms it came to hold a historically important position as the oldest extant miniature railway in the world.
Dollands Moor Freight Yard
Dollands Moor Freight Yard is a railway freight yard near Folkestone in Kent, and was purposely built in 1988 for the Channel Tunnel. It is to the west of the Eurotunnel Folkestone Terminal, and just to the south of the M20 Motorway.
Hythe railway station (SER)
Hythe railway station was a railway station serving the town of Hythe in Kent and was positioned just after the railway crossed Blackhouse Hill. On the Sandgate Branch line the station had two platforms, and a brick built station building. It was ceremonially opened on 9 October 1874, and opened fully the next day. Being inland of the town it served the station was never popular.
