Chillerton Down transmitting station
The Chillerton Down transmitting station is a broadcasting facility for FM and DAB radio at Chillerton Down on the Isle of Wight off the south coast of England. The transmitter was erected in 1958 and uses as aerial a 228.9-metre high guyed steel lattice mast of triangular cross section. It was originally used to transmit Southern Television, and later TVS, until the end of VHF television transmissions in the UK at the beginning of 1985.
Yafford
Yafford is a hamlet on the Isle of Wight. It is located nine kilometres southwest from Newport in an area known as the Back of the Wight between Brighstone and Niton. It has a non operational water mill, which was working until 1970. The mill has an overshot water wheel, powered by the flow of water from a millpond. The pond is fed by a stream from the nearby village of Shorwell, part of the Buddle Brook.

Isle of Wight Radio (Occasionally shortened to IW Radio) is an independent local radio station in Newport on the Isle of Wight. The station began transmitting from Briddlesford Farm AM transmitter on 15 April 1990. Isle of Wight Radio switched to FM in March 1998, its main transmitter is at Chillerton Down on 107FM, with three low power relays on 102FM in Cowes, Ventnor and Ryde.

Wolverton Manor
Wolverton Manor (also Ulwartone, 11th century; Wolveton, 13th century) is a manor house in Shorwell, on the Isle of Wight. The original house was started by John Dingley (d. 1596), Deputy Governor of the Isle of Wight. The Jacobean style home, built by Sir John Hammond after the death of Sir John Dingley, is the second house built on the site. There is a two-storey porch which features a flat roof and hollow angle columns.
Northcourt Manor
Northcourt Manor is one of three manor houses, along with Woolverton and Westcourt, that is located in Shorwell, on the Isle of Wight, England. It was begun by Sir John Leigh, Deputy Governor of the Island, in 1615, but was unfinished at his death. Northcourt is now a bed and breakfast establishment.
