St Lawrence, Isle of Wight
St Lawrence is a village on the south side of the Isle of Wight, in southern England. It is located to the west of Ventnor and many consider it a part of that town. St Lawrence is situated on the Undercliff, and is subject to regular landslips.
Ventnor Botanic Garden
Ventnor Botanic Garden is a botanic garden located in Ventnor, Isle of Wight. It was founded in 1970, by Sir Harold Hillier, and donated to the Isle of Wight Council. Parking charges have been replaced by an entry fee to restore the financial health of the garden after transfer from the Isle of Wight Council. Its collection comprises worldwide temperate and subtropical trees and shrubs organised by region.
Ventnor West railway station
Ventnor West railway station was opened on 1 June 1900 as the final addition to the railway network on the Isle of Wight. It was originally opened as Ventnor Town but the station was renamed in 1923 by the Southern Railway.
St. Lawrence railway station
St. Lawrence railway station was the original terminus of the branch from Merstone until the 1½ mile extension to Ventnor was completed in June 1900. From 1927 the station was downgraded to the status of an unstaffed halt.
Rew Down
Rew Down is a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) located on the south east edge of the Isle of Wight in the hills to the west of Ventnor. The area is a chalk grassland sloping to the south and offering panaramic and far reaching views of the English Channel. It has the Stenbury Trail running along its western boundary and the Ventnor golf club to the North. It is managed by the Isle of Wight Council and is noted for its Highland cattle which have grazed the land since 2003.
Steephill
Steephill is a hamlet near Ventnor, Isle of Wight, previously the location of a Victorian country estate with a castle-style mansion, Steephill Castle, which was demolished to build bungalows in the 1960s. Steephill itself now forms part of the suburban development westward from Ventnor. Steephill Cove, on the coast some 400 yards to the south, has several kiosks and self-catering cottages. Fish can be bought beneath a sign which states "Wheeler and Sons; Fishermen since the 1500s".

The beach is dominated by a house built just above the high water mark.
