Buntingford almshouses
Buntingford Almshouses were built by the mathematician and astronomer Bishop Seth Ward. He was born in the town of Buntingford and built the Almshouses in 1684. It is now a hospital for the elderly and was originally used as the town hospital.

Wyddial
Wyddial is a village and civil parish in Hertfordshire, near Buntingford. It is located at TL 373 317 and lies due north of Greenwich on the Prime Meridian. Wyddial is also a civil parish in East Hertfordshire District Council. The place-name is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086 and means 'willow nook'. The parish church of St Giles dates from the 14th century when the nave was built. The tower and chancel date from the 15th century.
