Marwell Wildlife
Marwell Wildlife, formerly known as Marwell Zoological Park, is a 140-acre zoo and registered charity situated at Owslebury near Winchester, in the English county of Hampshire. It is home to over 1,200 animals of 235 different species, and in 2007 was voted by Hampshire residents in an online poll as the place they were most proud of. Beyond the park itself, the charity works for international conservation, with a particular focus in Africa in addition to work from its base in Hampshire.
Netley Abbey
Netley Abbey is a ruined late medieval monastery in the village of Netley near Southampton in Hampshire, England. The abbey was founded in 1239 as a house for Roman Catholic monks of the austere Cistercian order. Despite being a royal abbey, Netley was never rich, produced no influential scholars nor churchmen, and its nearly 300-year history was quiet. The monks were best known to their neighbours for the generous hospitality they offered to travellers on land and sea.
King's Way
King's Way or the Allan King Way is a 45 mile long-distance footpath in Hampshire, England. This footpath was created by the Hampshire Area of the Ramblers' Association as a memorial to the late Allan King a former Publicity Officer who was partly responsible for the formation of a number of Groups in Hampshire. It runs from Portchester to Winchester. The footpath is waymarked by metal and plastic disks found attached to wooden and metal posts, trees and street furniture.

Winchester City Mill
The Winchester City Mill is a restored water mill situated on the River Itchen in the centre of the ancient English city of Winchester. The mill is owned by the National Trust. The mill was first recorded, milling corn, in the Domesday Book of 1086. The mill was last rebuilt in 1744 and remained in use until the early 1900s. The mill was then used as a laundry until 1928 when it was offered for sale.

It is the oldest charitable institution in the United Kingdom. The founder was Henry de Blois, Bishop of Winchester, grandson of William the Conqueror, half brother to King Stephen of England.
Boyatt Wood
Boyatt Wood is a small residential area north of Eastleigh in Hampshire. Famously Craig David used to practice trumpet here. Boyatt Wood Church, (formally St Peter's Church, Boyatt Wood) is an Anglican parish church in the area. Boyatt Wood Allotment Site contains 61 gardening plots. Boyatt Wood contains a pub and some local shops, but it is a huge housing estate. The local secondary school Crestwood College was where Scott Mills was taught.
St Mary's Church, Bishopstoke
The Church of St Mary's is an Anglican Church in Bishopstoke, Hampshire. St Mary’s was designed by Edward Prioleau Warren and built during 1890/91 by Wheeler Bros. of Reading, Berkshire at a cost of £4,200. It was consecrated on 12 November 1891 by the Bishop of Guildford. Financial limitations meant that a Perpendicular tower included in the design had to be added later and this was completed in 1909.
Brambridge
Brambridge is a village in the parish of Colden Common in the Winchester District in Hampshire, England, north east of Eastleigh and close to the River Itchen. It lies in the south of Twyford civil parish. The hamlet of Brambridge was granted by Bishop Richard Foxe to the newly-founded Corpus Christi College, Oxford, in the sixteenth century. In 1609-10, Brambridge, with other lands, belonging to three recusants, Ursula Uvedale, Richard Bruning and Thomas Welles was granted to John Pierson.

Winchester (Chesil) railway station
Winchester (Chesil) railway station was, for the first six years after the opening of the line, the terminus of the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway (DNSR), until the line was extended to link up with the Southern Railway line to Southampton. The station buildings were larger than those of any other DNSR station but were built to the standard designs used by the Great Western Railway (GWR). The station buildings were located on the northbound platform.
St Mary's Abbey, Winchester
St. Mary's Abbey, also known as Nunnaminster, was a Benedictine nunnery in Winchester, Hampshire. It was founded at the close of the ninth century by Alfred the Great and his queen Ealhswith (who is buried here). The first buildings were completed by their son, Edward the Elder. The first abbess was Edward's daughter Edburga. After Alfred's death Ealhswith retired to the monastery. In 963 Bishop Ethelwold refounded the monastery and re-endowed it, imposing the stricter Benedictine rule.

Marwell College was a college of secular priests in Marwell Park, Owslebury, Hampshire, England. Marwell was sometimes spelt Merwell or Merewell. The college was founded by Bishop Henry de Blois (1129-1171) in the church or chapel he had built in Marwell Park. The church was dedicated to St. Stephen, St. Lawrence, St. Vincent and St. Quintin.
Highbridge, Hampshire
Highbridge is a small community on the edge of Colden Common, Allbrook, Hampshire, England. Once major gravel works, and clay digging to make bricks, were carried out here. Kiln Lane is an example of the names left behind after extraction ceased. Highbridge is on the River Itchen and the Itchen Canal is nearby. The gravel works left a very large lake which nowadays is used for fishing.

Winchester College Ground is a cricket ground in Winchester, Hampshire. The ground is based in the grounds of the historic Winchester College, with evidence suggesting cricket in Winchester dates back to the 17th century. The present ground, which is also known as New Field or Ridding Field, dates from 1869 when the then headmaster George Ridding bought land south of "Meads" and donated it to the College.
Green Jackets Ground
The Green Jackets Ground is a cricket ground in St Cross, Winchester, Hampshire used by St Cross Symondians Cricket Club. The ground was first used in 1859, when Winchester Garrison played I Zingari. The ground is currently owned by the trustees of the nearby ancient Hospital of St Cross. The ground was first leased to the Rifle Brigade and since 1885 it has been leased to the Green Jackets Club. Only one first-class match was played at the ground, which saw Hampshire play Sussex in 1875.
Kingsgate, Winchester
Kingsgate is one of two surviving medieval gates to the city of Winchester, England (the other is the Westgate). The name was first recorded in 1148. The gate is on, or near, the site of one of the Roman gates to the city, and was the entrance to the royal palace before the Cathedral Close was enclosed in the 10th century. The present gate is probably 14th century, with 18th-century pedestrian walkways. Above the gate is the small church of St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate.
St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate Church
St Swithun upon Kingsgate is an Anglican parish church in Winchester, Hampshire, England, built in the Middle Ages in the Early English style. Located above the medieval Kingsgate, one of the principal entrances to the city, the church is unusual in forming a part of the fabric of the old city walls. St Swithun's first appears in 13th century records and achieved some literary fame, under the fictional name of St Cuthberts, in Anthony Trollope's novel The Warden.
St Faith's Church, Winchester
St Faith's Church was the parish church of St Cross, a village just south of Winchester, Hampshire, England. It was situated on the northern side of what is now Kingsgate Road at its junction with what is now St Cross Road. The church's graveyard is still there today. The church was demolished in 1507, and St Cross Church, part of the Hospital of St Cross, became the parish church.
