Botley, Hampshire
Botley is a historic village in Hampshire, England that obtained a charter for a market from Henry III in 1267. The area has been settled since at least the 10th century. Between 1806 and 1820 it was the home of the famous journalist and radical politician William Cobbett, who described the village as the most delightful in the world. There is a memorial stone to William Cobbett in the village square.
Strawberry Trail
The Strawberry Trail is an 15 mile footpath through Hampshire, England The trail is part linear and part circular. The linear section connects Botley to Bursledon railway station via Manor Farm Country Park. The circular section is usually done in a clockwise direction. From Bursledon railway station the trail goes south closely following the River Hamble and through Hamble until it meets Southampton Water. The trail then turns right and follows the shoreline into Royal Victoria Country Park.
Grace Dieu (ship)
Grace Dieu was launched in 1418 as the flagship of Henry V of England and was one of the largest ships of her time. She sailed on only one voyage, and spent most of her life laid up in the River Hamble, where in 1439 she was struck by a bolt of lightning and burnt.
Burridge
Burridge is a small village in the Borough of Fareham, in the south of Hampshire, England. It lies approximately 14 miles south of Winchester on the A3051 between Botley and Park Gate, to the north of Sarisbury and to the west of Whiteley. It was formerly known as Caiger's Green.
Manor Farm Country Park
Manor Farm Country Park, formerly Upper Hamble Country Park, runs along the west bank of the River Hamble between the villages of Botley and Bursledon in Hampshire at grid reference SU496111. The park first opened in 1979. In 1984, the Manor Farm museum was opened. The museum site was once at the heart of the village of Botley. The ancient duckpond in Manor Farm and the neighbouring St Batholomew's Church are mentioned in the Domesday book.
Fairthorne Manor Golf Course
Fairthorne Manor Golf Course is situated within the grounds of YMCA Fairthorne Manor, Curdridge. Fairthorne Manor is a short course at just over 3,600 yards, with a par of 62. As such, it has much to offer golfers of all standards and handicaps. Beginners will benefit from the fact that no hole exceeds 300 yards in length and the 'intimidation factor' is therefore greatly reduced.

The Curdridge Country Show
The Curdridge Country Show is an annual show held in Curdridge, Hampshire, England. The event is held mid-July on a Saturday, and attracts up to 7000 attendees each year. 2013 will be the show's 57th year. The show is a traditional family orientated country fair, and showcases a variety of competitions and events, such as the ‘Dog Factor’ dog show, falconry display, vintage car parade and much more.
