Woolwich Ferry
The Woolwich Ferry (sometimes also called the Woolwich Free Ferry) is a boat service across the River Thames, London, UK, which is licensed and financed by London River Services, the maritime arm of Transport for London. The service is operated by Serco Group under licence from TfL and carries both foot passengers and vehicles. The service links Woolwich in the Royal Borough of Greenwich with North Woolwich in the London Borough of Newham.
Woolwich foot tunnel
The Woolwich foot tunnel is a tunnel crossing under the River Thames in East London from Woolwich in the Royal Borough of Greenwich to North Woolwich in the London Borough of Newham. The tunnel offers pedestrians an alternative way to cross the river when the Woolwich Free Ferry service is not operating. Both entrances to the tunnel are Grade II listed buildings. Greenwich Council started work to upgrade both this tunnel and the Greenwich foot tunnel on 19 April 2010.

Auto Stacker
The Auto Stacker was an ill-fated but ambitious project by Woolwich Borough Council in south-east London. It cost £100,000 in 1961 and was located on Beresford Street, Woolwich. As the name suggests, the Auto Stacker was a machine that parked cars in a stack, using a combination of conveyor belts and lifts to move vehicles from ground level to one of 256 carpark spaces. It was, effectively, an automated multi-storey car park, and was situated above a car showroom, workshop and petrol station.
Royal Docks Heritage Railway
The Royal Docks Heritage Railway, endorsed in 2006 by Newham London Borough Council, was proposed to open during 2007, taking over the North Woolwich Old Station Museum and the closed section of the North London Line between Custom House and North Woolwich railway stations. Rather than concentrating on the Great Eastern Railway, it would have shown the heritage of local and suburban National Rail lines in London and the south east.

Designed by Beckett Rankine and built by Mowlem (now Carillion) in 2002, the pier is operated by London River Services and served by various river transport and cruise operators. From this pier there is a peak-hours, seven-days-a-week, service to central London, operated by Thames Clippers.

St Mary Magdalen Woolwich
St Mary Magdalen Woolwich is an Anglican church dedicated to Mary Magdalen in Woolwich, sited at the extremity of a spur reaching northwards towards the Thames. The original church was built some time before the 12th century (possibly even as early as the 9th century), though by the 18th century its Elizabethan spire had collapsed and the foundations were showing other signs of strain.
