London Borough of Hillingdon
The London Borough of Hillingdon is the westernmost borough in Greater London, England which had a population of 273,936 based on the 2011 Census. and was formed from the districts of Ruislip-Northwood, Uxbridge, Hayes and Harlington and Yiewsley and West Drayton in the historic county of Middlesex. Today, Hillingdon is home to Heathrow Airport and Brunel University, and is the second largest of the 32 London boroughs by area.

RAF West Drayton was a non-flying Royal Air Force station in West Drayton, within the London Borough of Hillingdon, which served as the main centre for military air traffic control in the United Kingdom. It was co-located with the civilian London Terminal Control Centre to provide a vital link between civil and military flying and airspace requirements.

They were established in 1871 and are one of the oldest clubs in the South of England. Yiewsley and West Drayton Urban District
Yiewsley and West Drayton was an urban district in Middlesex, England. It was formed in 1911 from the parish of Yiewsley, formerly part of Uxbridge Rural District. This rural district was abolished in 1929, and Yiewsley was joined by the parish of West Drayton, resulting in a change of name for the district. The parish of Harmondsworth was added in 1930 from the disbanded Staines Rural District.
London Terminal Control Centre
The London Terminal Control Centre (LTCC) was an air traffic control centre based in West Drayton, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, England, approximately 2.5 miles north of London Heathrow airport. Operated by National Air Traffic Services (NATS) it provided air traffic control services to aircraft arriving and departing from six London airports, one Royal Air Force station, plus en-route services to other aircraft that entered its airspace.
Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre
Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre is located in Harmondsworth, London Borough of Hillingdon. Colnbrook, adjacent to Harmondsworth Immigration Removal Centre and London Heathrow Airport, houses males and females. Colnbrook, which opened in August 2004, is built to Class B prison standards, making it the highest security immigration removal centre in the United Kingdom. Colnbrook had 308 bed spaces.
Frays River
Frays River is a river in England that branches off the River Colne at Uxbridge Moor and rejoins it at West Drayton. The Frays River leaves the River Colne between Uxbridge and Denham, Buckinghamshire at Denham Weir. It passes Cowley and Yiewsley where it is joined by the River Pinn. It is also crossed by the Slough Arm of the Grand Union Canal which is carried on an aqueduct. It rejoins the River Colne at West Drayton.

Expansion of London Heathrow Airport
The expansion of London Heathrow Airport involved the proposal by BAA Limited to build a third runway and a sixth terminal at Heathrow, north of the Bath Road (A4). The plan was supported by businesses, the aviation industry, the British Chambers of Commerce, the Confederation of British Industry, the Trades Union Congress and the then Labour government. It was opposed by Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties as opposition parties and then as a coalition government.
Otter Dock
Otter Dock was a branch of the Grand Union Canal between Yiewsley and West Drayton in Middlesex (London, England). It was cut during the years 1876 to 1879 to service Yiewsley's brickworks. Bricks were moulded and fired in the local brickfields and transported by canal to a yard near South Wharf Basin, Paddington. The last local brickfield at Starveal (Stockley Bridge area) disappeared in 1935 and soon after Otter Dock was filled in.
Harmondsworth Great Barn
Harmondsworth Great Barn (also known as Manor Farm Barn) is a medieval tithe barn on the former Manor Farm in the village of Harmondsworth, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, England (previously part of the historic county of Middlesex). It stands just north of Heathrow Airport. Built in the early 15th century by Winchester College, it is the largest timber-framed building in England and is regarded as an outstanding example of medieval carpentry.
