King's Cross fire
The King's Cross fire broke out on 18 November 1987 at approximately 19:30 at King's Cross St. Pancras tube station, a major interchange on the London Underground. The fire killed 31 people. As well as the mainline railway stations above ground and subsurface platforms for the Metropolitan lines, there were platforms deeper underground for the Northern, Piccadilly, and Victoria lines.

The East Coast Main Line (ECML) is a 393-mile long electrified high-speed railway link between London, Peterborough, Doncaster, Wakefield, Leeds, York, Darlington, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. King's Cross derailment
On 16 September 2003 a GNER express was derailed at just after 07:00hrs immediately after leaving Platform 4 at King's Cross station in London. The immediate cause of the accident was the routing of the train onto a length of track with a missing rail. The length of rail had been removed during maintenance work, as is permissible, but it should not have been possible for a train to be routed onto the section of track where the rail had been removed.
Cromer Street
Cromer Street is a road in King's Cross, London in central London England, UK. It starts in the west at Judd Street, then goes east, ending at Gray's Inn Road. It gave access from Gray's Inn Road to Greenland Place and a bowling green. It was formerly called Lucas Street but was renamed Cromer Street in 1818. In the earlier 1840s, it was described as occupied by a class of poor 'small tradesmen and artisan lodgers' in densely crowded lodgings.
German Gymnasium, London
The German Gymnasium is in Pancras Road, London close to the new international railway station of St Pancras. It was constructed in 1864-65 for the German Gymnastics Society, a sporting association established in London in 1861 by Ernst Ravenstein. The German Gymnasium was designed by Edward A Gruning and built by Piper and Wheeler. The National Olympian Association used the Gymnasium as one of the venues for its first ever Games here in 1866, shortly after the German Gymnasium was opened.
Camden Town Hall
Camden Town Hall, known as St Pancras Town Hall until 1965, is the town hall for Camden London Borough Council. It is located along Euston Road, opposite the main front of St Pancras railway station, with Judd Street to its rear. It was constructed to a neoclassical design in 1934-7 for St Pancras Borough Council on the site of Georgian terraced housing. It is a steel-framed building, clad with Portland stone. The architect was A.J. Thomas, who also designed housing schemes for the borough.
Holy Cross Church, St Pancras
Holy Cross church is a church on Cromer Street in the St Pancras area of the London Borough of Camden. It was built 1887–88 by Joseph Peacock. The church began as a district chapelry in 1876 before becoming a parish in 1888. Its parish was merged with that of St. Jude Gray's Inn Road (demolished 1936) in 1935 and that of St Peter's Regent Square in 1954 (damaged in the Blitz and demolished in 1954).
Birkenhead Street, London
Birkenhead Street is a street opposite Kings Cross Station, and adjoining Euston Road, part of the A501 road, a historically important thoroughfare in central London, England. Previously named Liverpool Street, it was renamed as Birkenhead Street in the 20th Century, possibly during post-war reconstruction.
Sartorial Contemporary Art
Sartorial Contemporary Art is an artist run gallery founded in 2005 by Gretta Sarfaty Marchant, artist and curator, as a project-led space in central London, England. Originally based in an 18th century Georgian house on Kensington Church Street. Sartorial Contemporary Art moved to Kings Cross in October 2008 where it has built a reputation for embracing newly emerging artists.
