Hammersmith Bridge
Hammersmith Bridge is a suspension bridge which crosses the River Thames in west London, just south of the Hammersmith area of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham on the north side of the river. It allows road traffic and pedestrians to cross to Barnes, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, on the south side of the river. The current bridge is the second permanent bridge on the site.
Metropolitan Borough of Hammersmith
The Metropolitan Borough of Hammersmith was, between 1900 and 1965, a Metropolitan borough of the County of London. It included Hammersmith, Wormwood Scrubs, Old Oak Common and Shepherd's Bush. The borough was formed from the parish of Hammersmith, which had been combined with the parish of Fulham as the Fulham District in 1855. In 1886 the two parishes regained their own vestries when the district was abolished. The Hammersmith Vestry became Hammersmith Borough Council in 1900.
Hammersmith Apollo
The Hammersmith Apollo is a major entertainment venue located in Hammersmith, London. Designed by Robert Cromie in Art Deco style, it opened in 1932 as the Gaumont Palace cinema, being renamed the Hammersmith Odeon in 1962. It has had a string of names and owners, most recently AEG and CTS Eventim.
Stamford Brook
Stamford Brook was a tributary of the Tideway stretch of the River Thames in West London supplied by three headwaters. Historically used as an irrigation ditch or dyke the network of small watercourses had four lower courses and mouths.

Furnivall Sculling Club
Furnivall Sculling Club is a rowing club based on the Tideway in Hammersmith, London. It was founded as Hammersmith Sculling Club in 1896 by Dr Frederick James Furnivall. Originally a club for women only, it opened its doors to men in 1901. The club colours are myrtle and old gold.
Hammersmith (Grove Road) railway station
Hammersmith (Grove Road) railway station was on the London and South Western Railway (L&SWR). It was located in Grove Road (now Hammersmith Grove), Hammersmith, adjacent to the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines station. For much of its existence the station was also served by the Metropolitan Railway (MR, now the Metropolitan line) and the Great Western Railway (GWR). L&SWR trains serving the station ran from Waterloo via Addison Road to Richmond.
Hammersmith flyover
The Hammersmith flyover is an elevated roadway in west London which carries the A4 arterial road over and to one side of the central Hammersmith gyratory system, and it links together the Cromwell Road extension (Talgarth Road) with the start of the Great West Road. It is one of the first examples of an elevated road using reinforced concrete.

Hammersmith Creek
Hammersmith Creek was an outflow river of the Stamford Brook, and used to run through what is now King Street, into the Thames at the present-day site of Furnivall Gardens in Hammersmith. Until the early 19th century the creek was navigable over this distance, and was the scene of much industry with malt houses and boatbuilders along the banks, as well as being a route for cargo transportation.
Wathen Hall
The Wathen Hall at St Paul's School (London) in London is considered one of the most successful smaller concert halls to be built in London over the past decade. Designed by BHM Architects and opened in 1999 it forms part of the St Paul's School Music department and is used for school concerts as well as external events. The hall seats 316 people. Artists appearing there during the opening season included pianists Murray Perahia and Radu Lupu, and violinst Maxim Vengerov.
Kelmscott House
Kelmscott House, a Georgian brick mansion at 26 Upper Mall in Hammersmith, overlooking the River Thames, is a historic building. It was the London home of English textile designer, artist, writer, and socialist William Morris from April 1879 until his death in October 1896. Originally called "The Retreat", Morris renamed it after the Oxfordshire village of Kelmscott where he had lived at Kelmscott Manor from June 1871.
London Corinthian Sailing Club
The London Corinthian Sailing Club is based on the river Thames at Hammersmith. Its activities include Dinghy sailing and racing on the river, and yachting in the Solent and further afield, as well as an active social side including 'Club Nights' every Tuesday evening. An RYA-approved offshore training establishment with a full training programme is provided, including RYA theory and practical courses for competent crew, day skipper, coastal skipper and yachtmaster.

The Klub Foot was a highly influential London nightclub in the Psychobilly scene of the early and mid 1980s. It was hosted at the Clarendon public house in Hammersmith until the pub was demolished as part of the redevelopment of Hammersmith Town Centre. It regularly showcased the rising stars of the scene, including The Meteors, Demented Are Go, Guana Batz, Batmobile, Long Tall Texans, The Caravans, Klingonz, Coffin Nails, Skitzo, The Highliners, Sgt Bilko's Krazy Combo and many others.
Auriol Kensington Rowing Club
Auriol Kensington Rowing Club is an amateur rowing club, based in Hammersmith in west London, England. The club was formed in 1981 by the amalgamation of two separate clubs - Auriol Rowing Club which was founded in 1896, and Kensington Rowing Club which was founded in 1872. The clubhouse is on Lower Mall, adjacent to Hammersmith Bridge. Rowing is divided into two large senior squads for oarsmen and women, a novice group for beginners and a veterans section.
Thames Wharf Studios
Thames Wharf Studios, in Hammersmith, London, was originally an industrial site containing the Duckham's oil facility overlooking the River Thames in Hammersmith. It was acquired by the Richard Rogers Partnership in 1983, which converted the industrial complex of redundant 20th century warehouses into offices, workshops, housing and a restaurant.
Polish Social and Cultural Association
The Polski Ośrodek Społeczno-Kulturalny (POSK) is the Polish Social and Cultural Association in London. It was founded at 238-246 King Street, Hammersmith in 1967, when Poles who had escaped the occupation of their country congregated in this area of west London. The original membership fee was £10 but this was updated in 2008 by the new reforming lady President, Ewa Brzeska.

The bus station is divided into two sections (Lower Station and Upper Station). The buses which serve the Lower Station are 33, 72, 209, 266, 283, 419, 485, and 609. The buses which serve the Upper Station are 9, 10, 27, 72, 190, 211, 220, 267, 283, 295, 391, H91, N9, N11, and N97.

Harrods Furniture Depository

The Harrods Depository was built on the site of an old soap factory in 1894 as a storage centre for the larger items that could not be taken into Knightsbridge to the world famous Harrods department store. The present salmon-pink terracotta clad buildings were built in 1914.
