Ealing Studios
For the film, see Ealing Comedy (film). For the film comedies see Ealing Comedies. Ealing Studios is a television and film production company and facilities provider at Ealing Green in West London. Will Barker bought the White Lodge on Ealing Green in 1902 as a base for film making, and films have been made on the site ever since. It is the oldest continuously working studio facility for film production in the world, and the current stages were opened for the use of sound in 1931.
University of West London
The University of West London is a public university in the United Kingdom which has campuses in Ealing and Brentford in London, as well as in Reading and Slough in Berkshire. The university has roots back to 1860, when the Lady Byron School was founded, which later became Ealing College of Higher Education.
Pitzhanger Manor
Pitzhanger Manor House, in Ealing, was owned from 1800 to 1810 by the architect John Soane, who radically rebuilt it. Soane intended it as a country villa for entertaining and eventually for passing to his elder son. He demolished most of the existing building except the two-storey south wing built in 1768 by George Dance, who had been his first employer. In the late twentieth century, an extensive restoration returned much of the building back to Soane's design.
Municipal Borough of Ealing
Ealing was a local government district from 1863 to 1965 around the town of Ealing. A local board of health was formed for the southern part of the parish of Ealing, Middlesex, in 1863. In 1873 the board's area was extended to the rest of the parish. It was created an urban district in 1894, by the Local Government Act 1894. In 1901 it was granted a charter of incorporation to become the first municipal borough in Middlesex.
2001 Ealing bombing
On 3 August 2001 the Real IRA detonated a car bomb containing 45kg of explosives in Ealing Broadway, West London, England, injuring seven people. Debris caused by the bomb spread more than 200m (218 yards). Apart from the damage caused directly by the explosion, further extensive damage to property in the adjacent Ealing Broadway shopping centre was caused by flooding arising from the water main under the car bomb being ruptured.
Ealing Jazz Club
The Ealing Jazz Club at 42 A The Broadway, Ealing W5, opened in January 1959. Situated in a basement below an Aerated Bread Company tea shop, (now an Estate Agent) opposite Ealing Broadway station. It was reached by descending the narrow steps of the alley that leads to Haven Place, between the tea shop and what at the time was a jeweller's shop.
London College of Music
The London College of Music (LCM) is a music school in London, England, which is part of the University of West London. The LCM was founded in 1887 and existed as an independent music conservatoire based at Great Marlborough Street in central London until 1991. The college then moved to Ealing and became part of the Polytechnic of West London (which became Thames Valley University in 1992 and was renamed the University of West London in 2011).
Drama Studio London
Drama Studio London (DSL) is a drama school based in Ealing, London, England, United Kingdom. It is accredited by the National Council for Drama Training, London and is a Member of the Conference of Drama Schools. The current principal is the actor and director, Peter Craze. The school was founded in 1966, out of the need for a new, more realistic approach to actor training that took account of the professional requirements and demands of the theatre for which the students were being prepared.
Walpole Park
Walpole Park is a municipal urban public open space run by Ealing Borough Council, and its main entrance is situated in Mattock Lane, Ealing, West London. In 1987-10-01 it was registered by English Heritage on the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England. It is some 28 acres in size. Within its boundaries are the Pitzhanger Manor museum & art gallery and Perceval Lodge.

Ealing Independent College is an independent sixth form college in Ealing, London. Ealing Independent stemmed from a small tutorial college in 1992 to a medium size private school as it is now. Dr Ian Moores has been principal of the school since 2002.
