Metropolitan Borough of Bermondsey
The Metropolitan Borough of Bermondsey was a Metropolitan borough in the County of London, created in 1900 by the London Government Act 1899. It was abolished and its area became part of the London Borough of Southwark in 1965.
Old Kent Road

North Southwark and Bermondsey (UK Parliament constituency)
North Southwark and Bermondsey was a parliamentary constituency which returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Spa Road railway station
Spa Road railway station in Bermondsey, south-east London, was the original terminus of the capital's first railway, the London and Greenwich Railway (L&GR). It was also the first railway terminus in London. First opened in 1836, the station went through several changes of ownership, was rebuilt several times, changed its name and was relocated a couple of hundred yards away from its original site before it finally closed in 1915 due to cost-saving measures during the First World War.

Mandela Way T-34 Tank
The Mandela Way T-34 Tank is located on a small piece of scrubland on the corner of Mandela Way and Pages Walk in Bermondsey, London. The tank is a decommissioned Soviet T-34-85 battle tank. It is a former Czech army tank, that was used in the filming of Richard III (1995). It was bought in 1995 by Russell Gray, who lives nearby, for £7,000 then installed in its current location. The tank was the subject of a work by Cubitt Artists and Aleksandra Mir who painted it pink in 2002.
Aylesbury Estate
The Aylesbury Estate is a large housing estate located in Walworth, South East London. Along with the nearby Ferrier Estate, Aylesbury is considered one of the most notorious estates in the United Kingdom. It was for this reason that Tony Blair chose to make his first speech as Prime Minister here, in an effort to demonstrate that the government would care for the poorest elements of society. Livesey Museum for Children
The Livesey Museum for Children was in the Old Kent Road, within the London Borough of Southwark, London, England. The Livesey Museum was one of very few children's museums in the United Kingdom, which used to show a completely new hands-on exhibition every year. Each exhibition was suitable for all children under 12, and admission was free. It was hosted in a former public library on Old Kent Road in Southwark and was funded by Southwark Council.

Bermondsey (parish)
Bermondsey (also known as St. Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey) was a parish in the metropolitan area of London, England. The ancient parish was part of Hundred of Brixton and County of Surrey. In 1855, it was included in the area of responsibility of the Metropolitan Board of Works (MBW). The act, establishing the MBW, also incorporated a new elected local authority for the parish known as The Vestry of the Parish of Bermondsey in the County of Surrey.
The Blue
The Blue is a central market place in Bermondsey an area in London. The market is open Monday to Saturday from 9am until 5pm and has about 10 stall holders, selling food and clothes. The area has been known as The Blue for more than two hundred and thirty years and is probably named after the Blue Anchor public house that gave its name to Blue Anchor Lane. Immediately north of Blue Anchor Lane on an arched viaduct are the multiple railway tracks of the Brighton and South East Main Lines.
Bermondsey Spa Gardens
Bermondsey Spa Gardens is a park in Bermondsey, London. It is located on Grange Road, SE1 3AH. The park has been included in the recent and ongoing regeneration of the Bermondsey Spa area. The 4.5-acre park, with improvements designed by the architects Broadway Malyan, is intended to act as a focal point for the surrounding area. The park was closed for redevelopment in 2005 and then re-opened in March 2006.

St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey

Bermondsey Square

The earliest medieval remains found were a Norman church from around 1080, which was recorded in the Domesday Book.

The Bermondsey Lion
The Bermondsey Lion is a sculpture in The Blue, Bermondsey, London was created by Kevin Boys for Southwark Council. It was unveiled on 16 July 2011. The plaque on the plinth of the statue states: The Bermondsey Lion has been an enduring symbol of the area for centuries and initially represented the once powerful Bermondsey Abbey (hence the crozier placed in the front right paw).
