Metropolitan Borough of Lambeth
Lambeth was a civil parish and metropolitan borough in south London, England. It was an ancient parish in the county of Surrey. The parish was included in the area of responsibility of the Metropolitan Board of Works in 1855 and became part of the County of London in 1889. The parish of Lambeth became a metropolitan borough in 1900, following the London Government Act 1899, with the parish vestry replaced by a borough council.
Brixton Hill
Brixton Hill is the name given to a 1 km section of road between Brixton and Streatham Hill in south London, England. Brixton Hill and Streatham Hill form part of the traditional main London to Brighton road (A23). The road follows the line of a Roman Road, the London to Brighton Way, which diverges from Stane Street near Kennington, and led south from the capital Londinium to a port on the south coast.
The Fridge
The Fridge was a nightclub in the Brixton area of South London, founded by Andrew Czezowski, who had run the Roxy during punk music's heyday in 1977. It was originally started in 1981, in a small club at 390 Brixton Lane, and in 1982 above Iceland in Brixton Road with a radical decor that included beat-up ice boxes and (fake) dead cats hanging from its ceiling. Early guest DJs included Keith Barker-Main, later a lifestyle journalist and social commentator.

The Windmill, Brixton
The Windmill is a pub and live music venue in Brixton, London, with a reputation for championing new music. The pub was built in 1971 for the adjacent Blenheim Gardens housing estate and named after the neighbouring heritage site of the only lasting (and working) windmill in the London area. It went through various phases of being a bar that attracted locals, bikers, the Irish community and by the end of the 1990s it was hosting DJs, poets and the occasional live bands.
Torture Garden (fetish club)
Torture Garden (or TG) is a fetish club in London, UK. The club started in 1990 and is now Europe's largest fetish club, featuring monthly at the Mass Club in the converted St. Matthews Church, Brixton. It features dance floors, musical acts, performance art, fashion shows, and an S&M 'dungeon'. Initially threatened with closure by the police, it is now described as "legendary" and "a capital institution" by Time Out magazine.

George IV, Brixton
George IV, Brixton' was a public house and concert and dance venue at 144 Brixton Hill, in Brixton, London. It was also sometimes known as George Four. At the junction with Waterworks Road, the venue in 2007 became the Southside Bar and later the Music Bar. In mid-2012, the Tesco supermarket chain revealed that it planned to open a “convenience store” format Tesco Express store on the site. The plan was not welcomed.
