Abbey Road, London
Abbey Road is a thoroughfare located in the borough of Camden and the City of Westminster in London, running roughly northwest to southeast through St. John's Wood, near Lord's Cricket Ground. It is part of the B507. This road is best known for the Abbey Road Studios and the 1969 album, Abbey Road, by The Beatles. The north-western end of Abbey Road begins in Kilburn, at the intersection of Quex Road and West End Lane and was named for the nearby Kilburn Priory and its associated Abbey Farm.
Marlborough Road tube station
Marlborough Road is a disused London Underground station. It was opened in 1868 on the Metropolitan & St. John's Wood Railway, the first northward branch extension from Baker Street of the Metropolitan Railway. On contemporary maps the station name is shortened to Marlboro Road.
Swiss Cottage (Metropolitan line) tube station
Swiss Cottage (Metropolitan Line) is a disused London Underground station. It was opened in 1868 as the northern terminus of the Metropolitan and St John's Wood Railway, the first northward branch extension from Baker Street of the Metropolitan Railway. From here (starting in 1879) the line was later extended north into Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire reaching Watford, Aylesbury, Chesham and Uxbridge.
Hillfield Court
Hillfield Court is a famous art deco residential mansion block in Belsize Park, in the London Borough of Camden, built in 1934. It is located off Belsize Avenue and can also be accessed from Glenloch Road. It is one of the many purpose built mansion blocks on Haverstock Hill between Chalk Farm and Hampstead. It is close to the amenities near Belsize Park tube station, as well as the shops of Belsize Village, South End Green and Hampstead.
Swiss Cottage Central Library
The Swiss Cottage Central Library is the central library of the public library service in the London Borough of Camden, and is housed in an architectural landmark building designed by Sir Basil Spence. It was first opened in 1964 at 88 Avenue Road, Swiss Cottage, London NW3 3HA.
Freud Museum
The Freud Museum, at 20 Maresfield Gardens in Hampstead, was the home of Sigmund Freud and his family when they escaped Nazi annexation of Austria in 1938. It remained the family home until Anna Freud, the youngest daughter, died in 1982. The centrepiece of the museum is Freud's study, preserved just as it was during his lifetime. The Freud Museum commemorates and elucidates the work of Sigmund and Anna Freud and maintains their working environment.
The American School in London
The American School in London is an international, independent K-12 school in St John's Wood, London, England for students aged between 4 and 18 years. Established in 1951 by journalist Stephen Eckard, it is the oldest American school in the city and the only non-profit American school in England. As of September 2006 the school has an enrollment of 1,344 students. ASL is situated on 3.5 acres in central London, and maintains 21 acres of playing fields nearby.
Holborn division
The Holborn Division was one of four divisions of the Hundred of Ossulstone, in the county of Middlesex, England. The other divisions were named Finsbury, Kensington and Tower. The area was to the north of the liberty of Westminster, and was included entirely within the County of London on its creation in 1889. It gave its name to the Metropolitan Borough of Holborn created in 1900. The area is now covered by the London Borough of Camden and the northern section of the City of Westminster.
O2 Centre
The O2 Centre (regularly stylised as O2 Centre) is an indoor shopping and leisure centre on Finchley Road, London, near Finchley Road tube station. It is located in between Hampstead, West Hampstead and Swiss Cottage. Owned by the X-Leisure group, and opened in 1998. Despite the same name and very similar logo, it is no relation to the O2 telecommunications brand, which was launched 4 years later.
Finchley Road railway station
Finchley Road railway station was built by the Midland Railway in 1868 on its extension to St. Pancras. Situated at the north end of the Belsize Tunnels, it served the newly-developed area of St John's Wood. For a short period from 1878 and 1880, the MR operated the Super Outer Circle service through the station from St. Pancras to Earl's Court Underground station via tracks through Cricklewood, then using the Dudding Hill Line to South Acton and Hammersmith.
Pax Lodge
Pax Lodge is the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) World Centre in London, England. It was opened in 1990 but was not the first World Centre in England. It was preceded by Olave House (1959–1988), named after Olave Baden-Powell which was preceded by Our Ark (1939–1959). Pax Lodge is located in historic Hampstead, London, and is part of the Olave Centre. The Olave Centre comprises Pax Lodge and the WAGGGS World Bureau.

Abbey Christian School
The Abbey Christian School was a school set up to teach English as a foreign language to prospective Christian missionaries. It was based in the extensive premises of Abbey Road Baptist Church in London, England and ran for forty years, from 1962 to 2002. The school was set up by Pastor LR Barnard of Abbey Road Baptist Church. From small beginnings it grew until it was taking in 60 to 70 students each term from countries all around the world. It closed on 14 June 2002.
Netherhall House
Netherhall House is a catered intercollegiate halls of residence for men, situated in Hampstead, north London, England. It is less than a five-minute walk from Finchley Road tube station. Netherhall House was founded in 1952, in 1966 the 'old block' was built and in 1995 the 'new block' was opened by HRH Katharine, Duchess of Kent.
St. Mary's Town and Country School
St. Mary's Town and Country School was an independent, non-denominational, co-educational progressive day and boarding school, founded in Belsize Park, London in 1937. It closed at the end of 1982. The school was owned and run by Mrs Elisabeth Paul PhD (née Selver), assisted by her husband Henry Paul, both of German-Jewish origin. In 1937 they bought the school, originally called St. Mary's School, at 1 Belsize Avenue.
The Royal School, Hampstead
The Royal School, Hampstead was an independent girls' day and boarding school located in Hampstead, London, England. The school educated girls aged 3-16. The school merged with North Bridge House School at the end of the academic year (2011/12) under the management of Cognita. The GCSE pass rate, in 2008, was 99%, with 89% of pupils gaining A* to C grades and a third achieving either A* or A grades.
Anna Freud Centre
The Anna Freud Centre is a child psychoanalysis research, training and treatment centre located in London, United Kingdom. It is one of only a small number of places in the UK where children can receive full psychoanalysis. It is closely associated with University College London (UCL) and Yale University.
Alexandra Road Estate
The Alexandra Road estate, properly known as the Alexandra and Ainsworth estate, but more commonly, and erroneously, referred to as simply Rowley Way, is a housing estate in the London Borough of Camden, North West London, England. It was designed in 1968 by Neave Brown of Camden Council's Architects Department. Construction work commenced in 1972 and was completed in 1978. It is constructed from site-cast, board-marked white, unpainted reinforced concrete.
Lithos Road Estate
The Lithos Road Estate is an housing estate located at grid reference TQ260849 in West Hampstead just off Finchley Road, London Borough of Camden. It is run by the estate's four consortia landlords Odu-Dua Housing Association, Paddington Churches Housing Association, Circle 33 and Notting Hill Housing Trust. The estate was built in 1991 and consists of a number of high and low rise blocks - bordered on each side by railway tracks.
Devonshire House Preparatory School
Devonshire House preparatory school is a co-educational independent IAPS day school for children from 2½ to 11 for girls and to 13 for boys. The School is based in four large Victorian houses in Hampstead. The School currently has about 580 pupils with just over half boys.

Hampstead Conservatoire
The Hampstead Conservatoire was a private college for music and the arts at 64, Eton Avenue, Swiss Cottage, London. The building, previously the Eton Avenue Hall, was reconstructed in 1890. It was equipped with a large pipe organ, built in 1888 by the London firm of Henry Willis & Sons with forty-three stops spread over four manuals and pedals. The hey-day of the conservatoire was 1896 - 1905, when its Principal was Cecil Sharp. Arnold Bax was one of its pupils between 1898 and 1900.
UCL Academy
The UCL Academy is a secondary school located in London, United Kingdom and sponsored by University College London (UCL). It is a non-selective academy school for the 11 to 18 age group, and is based in Swiss Cottage in Camden. It opened in September 2012 with 180 students in Year 7 and is planned to grow year-on-year until reaching full capacity in September 2015.
