Catherine Eddowes
Catherine (Kate) Eddowes (14 April 1842 – 30 September 1888) was one of the victims in the Whitechapel murders. She was the second person killed in the early hours of Sunday 30 September 1888, a night which already had seen the murder of Elizabeth Stride less than an hour earlier. These two murders are commonly referred to as the "double event" and have been attributed to the mysterious serial killer known as Jack the Ripper.
Bevis Marks Synagogue
Bevis Marks Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in the United Kingdom. It is located off Bevis Marks, in the City of London. The synagogue was built in 1701 and is affiliated to London's historic Spanish and Portuguese Jewish community. It is a Grade I listed building. It is the only synagogue in Europe which has held regular services continuously for over 300 years.
Minerva Building
The Minerva Building was a skyscraper once planned for the eastern edge of London's main financial district, the City of London. If built, it would have been the first building in the City of London to contain more than 1,000,000 sq ft of office space. A revised planning application by developers Minerva plc for the 53-storey version was submitted during the week ending 12 July 2002. The original proposal for the site, known as the St. Botolph's House, was a 14-storey office block.

The Wayout is a nightclub venue in London. Formed in 1993, it is London's best known transgender venues and the first to hold a regular Saturday night event. The WayOut Club founded in 1993 by Vicky Lee and Steffan Whitfield has received reviews in the mainstream media Evening Standard, People, Time Out magazine as well is in more specialist titles such as Gay Times. In 2008 the club won 'Sparkle' prestigious 'Best Transgender Nightclub' at Manchester 'Sparkle' TG Celebration Festival.
St Botolph's Aldgate
St Botolph's Church, Aldgate, St Botolph-without-Aldgate, or just Aldgate Church, is a Church of England liberal and inclusive parish church in the City of London, standing at the junction of Houndsditch and Aldgate High Street. The current 18th century church is made of brick with stone quoins and window casings. The tower is square with an obelisk spire. The parish was united with that of Holy Trinity, Minories in 1899.
Holy Trinity Priory, Aldgate
The Holy Trinity Priory was a priory of Austin canons founded around 1108 by Queen Matilda of England, wife of King Henry I near Aldgate in London. The queen received advice and help in the foundation from Anselm of Canterbury, the Archbishop of Canterbury. It was founded with clergy from Colchester, and the first prior was Norman, who was the queen's confessor.
Aldgate Pump
Aldgate Pump is an historic water pump in the City of London, at the junction of Aldgate High Street, Fenchurch Street and Leadenhall Street. The pump marks the start of the A13 road to Shoeburyness, and is a Grade II listed structure. As a well, it was mentioned during the reign of King John. As the city developed, it is thought to have been taken down and re-erected in its current location in 1876, as a drinking fountain, as streets were widened.
Aldgate bus station
Aldgate Bus Station serves the Aldgate area of the City of London, England. The station is owned and maintained by Transport for London. The station can be accessed just off the Aldgate High Street and Minories across the road from Aldgate Station. There is one stand at the bus station which is the terminus for services London Bus routes 40, 67, 115, 254 and N253. Bus routes 15, 25, 42, 78, 100, 205, N15, N550 and N551 also serve stops nearby.
Crosswall
Crosswall is a street in the City of London. At its western end, the street begins at a junction with Crutched Friars and Cooper's Row. At its eastern end, the street is a turn off Minories. It is home to America Square, the City of London Medical Centre, and a number of bar-restaurants and offices. Crosswall was named as it crossed the old Roman wall, which was discovered after the bombing of 1940. Previously the street had been named John Street, after King John.
Boar's Head Theatre
The Boar's Head Theatre was an inn-yard theatre in London from 1598 to around 1616. During its lifetime as a playhouse, it was home to the Earl of Derby's Men (summer 1599-summer 1601, summer 1602-March 1603), the Earl of Worcester's Men (summer 1601-summer 1602, April 1604-1605 or 1606), and Prince Charles' Men (summer 1609-March 1616); the historian Herbert Berry suggests that many other unidentified companies could have played there, as well.
