Kempley
Kempley is a village in the Forest of Dean district of Gloucestershire, England, close to the border with Herefordshire. It lies 12 miles northwest of Gloucester and is 5 and 8 miles respectively from the market towns of Newent and Ledbury. The small village (230 residents) has two notable churches, one dedicated to St Mary and another to St Edward the Confessor.

Gorsley is an area in the southwest Midlands of England, on the border between Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. Gorsley itself is in Gloucestershire, forming part of the civil parish of Gorsley and Kilcot, but nearby Gorsley Common and Little Gorsley are both in Herefordshire. The Anglican church parish is combined with Cliffords Mesne. Gorsley is 7 km west of Newent, 11 km east of Ross-on-Wye and 21 km south of Ledbury.

Four Oaks Halt was a request stop on the former Ledbury and Gloucester Railway. It was located 2 miles north of Newent. The station opened on 16 October 1937 and until 1959 when the line was closed to passengers. There was a simple wooden platform and shelter, built on the line of the lifted double track when it was singled. St Edward's Church, Kempley
The Church of St Edward the Confessor in Kempley is a parish church in the Forest of Dean district of Gloucestershire, England, close to the border with Herefordshire. It was built to the design of Randall Wells (1903-4) and is Grade II* listed. The small village has two notable Anglican churches, the other, older, is dedicated to St Mary. St Edward's was described by John Betjeman as "a mini-cathedral of the Arts and Crafts movement".

Dymock Woods is a 53-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Gloucestershire, notified in 1990. The site is listed in the 'Forest of Dean Local Plan Review' as a Key Wildlife Site (KWS). The site is divided into three units of assessment and includes the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust nature reserve known as Betty Daw's Wood which is unit 3.
