Dean Heritage Centre
The Dean Heritage Centre is located in the pretty valley of Soudley, Gloucestershire, England in the Forest of Dean and exists to record and preserve the unique social and industrial history of the area and its people. The centre comprises the museum itself, a millpond and waterwheel, forester's cottage with garden and animals, art and craft exhibitions and workshops, and trails around the surrounding woodland.

Soudley is a small but thriving village West of Cinderford, west Gloucestershire, England. Nearby attractions include Dean Heritage Centre, Soudley Ponds and the Blaize Bailey viewpoint. The village has a public house called the White Horse, with two skittles teams.
Littledean
Littledean is a village in the Forest of Dean, west Gloucestershire, England. The village has a long history and formerly had the status of a town. Littledean Hall was originally a Saxon hall, although it has been rebuilt and the current house dates back to 1612. The remains of a Roman temple are situated in the grounds. Welshbury Hill is an Iron Age hill fort near Mitcheldean in Gloucestershire, England. It is thought to have been built by Celts and dates back to 1600 BC. Welshbury Hill Fort is reputed to be the place where the Celtic Dobunni tribe staged its last battle against the Romans after a long running guerilla war. There is an ancient spring water well nearby known locally as St Anthony's Well.
Eastern United Colliery
Eastern United Colliery was a colliery in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England served by the Great Western Railway Forest of Dean Branch. The colliery was one of the seven areas of deep gales - as a result of the Dean Forest (Mines) Act in 1904. There were six veins of coal in the area containing 41,000,000 long tons of coal which would give the colliery a working life of around 200 (at an extraction rate of 200,000 long tons per annum.
