Kirby Cross railway station
Kirby Cross railway station serves the village of Kirby Cross in Essex, England. It was opened on 27 July 1866 as part of the Tendring Hundred line which was to link Colchester with Walton-on-the-Naze. A PERTIS self-service permit-to-ticket machine is available, located at the entrance to the eastbound platform. The station has eastbound and westbound platform lines but east and west of the station is single-track. The station was de-staffed in the 1990s.
Great Holland
Great Holland is a village in Essex, located to the north-east of Holland-on-Sea, and west of Frinton-on-sea. The village is served by a bus service to Clacton-on-Sea to the south and Kirby Cross, to the north. The village is served by two churches, a Methodist church and the parish church, 'All Saints'. There is an annual church fete held in the grounds of the Old Rectory funds of which go to All Saints. Great Holland also has a village shop and a pub called the Ship.
Holland-on-Sea
Holland-on-Sea is a seaside town in east Essex in the United Kingdom. Located south of the little village of Great Holland and directly north of Clacton-on-Sea, it has bus links to Walton-on-the-Naze and Clacton-on-Sea. It is a short coastal walk down the coastline to Clacton. There are four churches, St Bartholomew’s Church, All Souls Catholic Church, a Methodist and a Baptist church.

Landermere Wharf is a former dock area suitable for lying at anchor in the Tendring district of Essex, England. In 1954 resident artists Eduardo Paolozzi and Nigel Henderson (artist) established Hammer Prints Limited, which traded their designs for wallpapers, textiles and ceramics from premises there until 1975. It is now primarily a small residential hamlet in the administrative area of Thorpe-le-Soken.
