Coggeshall Abbey
Coggeshall Abbey, situated south of the town of Coggeshall in Essex, was founded in 1140 by King Stephen of England and Matilda of Boulogne, as a Savigniac house but became Cistercian in 1147 upon the absorption of the order.

Kelvedon St Mary's is a primary school located between Colchester and Chelmsford on the A12. Kelvedon St Mary's is a Church of England school. It was opened, in three stages, in 1977. It is equipped with a well-resourced library, and a large hall which is used for PE, Collective Workship and for Dining. There is also a purpose built ICT suite which can fit a whole class. Fillol's Hall
Fillol's Hall or Felix Hall, Kelvedon, Essex was an English manor house. It belonged to the Fillol family, which included Catherine Fillol, Duchess of Somerset, aunt of Edward VI and as wife of the Lord Protector of England, one of the most important women during his reign. Charles Western, 1st Baron Western bought Felix Hall about 1790. Western in the early nineteenth century made additions there in classical style, to create a modern mansion.
