Hornsea Mere is the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire, England, and lies to the west of Hornsea in the East Riding. It covers an area of 467 acres, is 2 miles long, 0.75 miles at its widest point and 12 feet at its deepest. Bettison's Folly

Bettison's Folly is a tower in Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is also referred to as Bettisons Tower and the Forgotten Folly, it was built some time between 1829 and 1853 by William Bettison. At the time, William Bettison was a Hull based brewer who built the folly on what was then his garden.

Hornsea Museum

Hornsea Museum is a local museum in Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, northern England. The museum was established in 1978. It is housed in an 18th-century farmhouse and two cottages. The museum is a registered charity (No. 509615) and is largely run by volunteers. The exhibit rooms include presentations on Hornsea Pottery in the cottages. The museum forms part of the Holderness museums collaboration. The farmhouse was occupied by the Burn family for almost 300 years.
