University of Hull
The University of Hull (known informally as "Hull University") is an English university, founded in 1927, located in Kingston upon Hull, a city in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Though classed as a "redbrick university", its expansion in recent decades has seen the addition of a variety of building styles from the traditional main buildings, 1960s teaching blocks to modern additions. JamRadio (formerly Jam 1575) is Hull University Union's student campus radio station. As of 2012, the station broadcasts twelve hours per day throughout the year. It was originally broadcast on 1575 medium wave (MW), but now airs solely on the Internet. The station is overseen by a subcommittee of Hull University Union's Media and Marketing Committee. All presenters, DJs and executive committee members are students of the university and JamRadio is a member of the Student Radio Association.
