RAF Leconfield
The former RAF Leconfield, or 'Leconfield Camp' was a Royal Air Force station in Leconfield, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The site is now used by the MoD Defence School of Transport Leconfield.
Deifr
Deifr was the Brythonic name for the eastern half of the modern county of Yorkshire in northern England and was known to the later Anglo-Saxons as Deira. Deifr means coastal or waters in Brythonic and was probably a territorial subdivision of the large tribal territory of the Brigantes before they were incorporated into the Roman Empire in about c.80AD. Its capital was at Ebrauc.
Wilfholme Landing
Wilfholme Landing is located on the Driffield Navigation in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The navigation is still tidal at this point, and is often considered to still be the River Hull, although technically the Navigation starts at the point where the Aike Beck used to join the river, a little further downstream. It is 0.9 miles from the hamlet of Wilfholme, and its main features are boat moorings, a farm and a pumping station.
Lockington rail crash
The Lockington rail crash occurred on 26 July 1986 at Lockington, Humberside (now in the East Riding of Yorkshire), England, when the 09:33 passenger train from Bridlington to Hull on the Yorkshire Coast Line hit a Ford Escort van on a level crossing. Eight passengers on the train, and a boy of 11 in the van, lost their lives. The van driver was not prosecuted but was blamed at the inquiry into the disaster. The boy who died was his foster son.

Beverley Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue located in the town of Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The racecourse is a right-handed flat course, that is just over 1 mile 3 furlongs. The date when the racecourse opened is not clearly known but racing has taken place more than 300 years ago at Beverley. Beverley has the most pronounce "draw bias" on a UK racecourse on its 5 furlong course.

East Riding College is a further education college located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was formed in March 2002, by the merger of Beverley College and East Yorkshire College, Bridlington.
