Emmanuel CofE Middle School
Emmanuel CofE Middle School is a 9-13 Middle-deemed-Secondary school situated in the small town of Verwood, East Dorset, England. It is the only school for secondary-aged pupils in Verwood. Most pupils come from the three Verwood First schools - Verwood CofE First School, Hillside Community First School and Trinity CofE First School. On leaving Emmanuel, pupils transfer in almost equal numbers to Ferndown Upper School and Queen Elizabeth's School, Wimborne Minster.
Rockbourne Roman Villa
Rockbourne Roman Villa is a Roman courtyard villa excavated and put on public display in the village of Rockbourne in the English county of Hampshire, England. The villa was discovered in 1942 by the ferret of a local farmer and excavated by A. T. Morley Hewitt over the next thirty years. The main structure was a large residence surrounding a courtyard, including luxurious Roman mosaics and bath suites.
Daggons Road railway station
Daggons Road was a railway station serving the village of Alderholt, in Dorset, to the south west of Fordingbridge, in Hampshire. It was one of many casualties of the mass closure of British railway lines in the 1960s and 1970s; the last service was on 2 May 1964. It was on the Salisbury and Dorset Junction Railway, which ran North-South along the River Avon just to the West of the New Forest, connecting Salisbury to the North and Poole to the south.
Verwood railway station
Verwood Railway Station served Verwood, a town in East Dorset in southern England, and its hinterland, from 1866 to 1964. It was one of many casualties of the mass closure of British railway lines in the 1960s; the last train running on 2 May 1964. The village is now much larger than when the line ran as it is within reasonable travelling distance of the South East Dorset conurbation.
The Hub (Verwood)
The Hub (also known as The Verwood Hub) is a multi-purpose venue based in Verwood, Dorset. The Hub opened in 2007, and hosts a range of live music, theatre, art, conferences and workshops.
