Bayard's Cove Fort
Bayard's Cove Fort is a small early Tudor artillery fort, built to defend the harbour entrance at Dartmouth, Devon, England. The tower was a third means of defence for the port, providing additional fire to protect the port should any enemy ships have broken past Dartmouth Castle and Kingswear Castle at the entrance of the cove. Today, the site is owned by English Heritage, and sits at the end of the pier as an open shell.
Blackpool Sands, Dartmouth

Blackpool Sands is a beach in Dartmouth, Devon, England named after the nearby village of Blackpool. It has been increasingly encroached on each year since 1933. In 1989 the sea broke the defences, severely damaging seaside properties and threatening the A379 road.

Battle of Blackpool Sands
The Battle of Blackpool Sands was the result of an attempted French raid on Dartmouth in April or May 1404. Local forces defeated the raiders, taking a number of prisoners and killing the French commander, William du Chastel.
Stoke Fleming
Stoke Fleming is a village and civil parish in the South Hams district of Devon, England. It lies on the A379 road about one and a half miles south of the town of Dartmouth, at the north end of Start Bay and within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is of ancient foundation, being recorded in the Domesday Book as Stoc, and the personal name le Flemeng is first recorded in connection with the village in 1218.
