River Axe (Lyme Bay)
The River Axe is a river in Dorset, Somerset and Devon, in the south-west of England. It rises near Beaminster in Dorset, flows west then south by Axminster and joins the English Channel at Axmouth near Seaton in Lyme Bay. During its 22-mile course it is fed by various streams and by the tributary rivers Yarty and Coly. It is a shallow, non-navigable river, although its mouth at Axmouth has some boating activity. Fish include brown trout, dace, roach and occasional salmon.

Seaton Tramway
The Seaton Tramway is an 838mm narrow gauge electric tramway which operates over the route of a former British Railways branch line in Seaton, Devon. The line was converted between 1969 and 1971 by Claude Lane, who had bought the line from BR and had successfully operated trams in Eastbourne as a visitor attraction. The 3-mile route runs through East Devon's Axe Valley, between the coastal resort of Seaton, the small village of Colyford and the ancient town of Colyton.
Axmouth
Axmouth is a village and civil parish in the East Devon district of Devon, England, near the mouth of the River Axe. The village itself is about 1 km inland, although the parish extends to the sea. The village is near Seaton and Beer which are on the other side of the Axe estuary. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 493.
East Devon Way
The East Devon Way is a long distance footpath in England. It runs for 38 miles between Exmouth in East Devon and Lyme Regis in Dorset. Landscapes seen on the path include; estuary, high open commons, woodlands and river valleys. The route includes some fairly steep climbs but is generally not challenging. The path runs inland but links with the South West Coast Path at both ends. There is rail access to Exmouth via branch line from Exeter and buses serve both ends of the route.
Hawkesdown Hill
Hawkesdown Hill is an Iron Age Hill fort close to Axmouth in Devon situated on a prominent hillside above the Axe Estuary. It is approximately 132 Metres above Sea Level.
Seaton Down
Seaton Down is the location of an Iron Age hill fort that takes the form of an earthwork with a large linear rampart cutting a promontory of land at the northeast end of the down off as a defensive fortification. It is slightly unusual in this layout when compared with other forts in the area. The fort is approximately 125 metres above sea level.
Axmouth Priory
Axmouth Priory was a priory in Devon, England.
