Buckfast Abbey
Buckfast Abbey forms part of an active Benedictine monastery at Buckfast, near Buckfastleigh, Devon, England. Dedicated to Saint Mary, it was founded in 1018 and run by the Cistercian order from 1147 until it was destroyed under the Dissolution of the Monasteries. In 1882 monks began living there again, and today it is a Benedictine foundation.
South Devon Railway (heritage railway)
The South Devon Railway is a 6.64 miles heritage railway from Totnes to Buckfastleigh in Devon, alongside the River Dart. It was previously known as the Dart Valley Railway. The Railway is operated by the South Devon Railway Trust, a registered charity. The Railway's headquarters and museum are located in Buckfastleigh railway station.
Rattery
Rattery is a village and civil parish in Devon, England, a few miles from Buckfastleigh, Ashburton, and Dartington. The name is often interpreted as a variant of "Red Tree" and is listed in the Domesday Book as Ratreu. Robert Herrick, the famous seventeenth century poet, lived in the hamlet of Dean Prior on the edge of Rattery.
Bakers Pit
Bakers Pit is a phreatic maze cave system near Buckfastleigh, Devon, England. It was first opened in 1847 by quarrying activities. Bakers Pit is entered via a vertical descent of 16 metres. It has 3.631 kilometres of passage contained within an area of 4 hectares and a small stream, flowing to the River Dart, that is still actively developing the cave. It was once connected to Reeds cave, however, only "voice" connection is currently possible, and only in a few locations.

Reed's cave is a cave in Higher Kiln Quarry near Buckfastleigh, Dartmoor, Devon. It has many formations including the unique Little Man formation, which is beyond Easter Chamber. Devon's only true troglobite collembolan Pseudosinella dobati is recorded from this cave.
Brent Hill
Brent Hill is the site of an Iron Age hill fort situated close to South Brent in Devon, England. The fort occupies the top of Brent Hill at approx 311 Metres above Sea Level.
Pennywell Farm
Pennywell Farm is the largest farm tourist attraction in the south west of England and is situated just outside the town of Buckfastleigh in South Devon. It is an organic farm situated 600 feet above sea level with views over Dartmoor National Park. Pennywell opened to the public in 1989 by husband and wife, Christopher and Nicola Murray. The idea was that visitors to the farm would not be spectators but that they would be able to have hands on interaction with the animals.
