Putsborough
Putsborough is a beach on the coast of North Devon, England, between Croyde and Woolacombe. Putsborough beach is situated on the southern end of Woolacombe Sands. The surf works at all tide stages but mid to high tend to have an edge. It is the only beach in the area that benefits from some protection from the South/Southwesterly winds, thanks to Baggy Point headland. Peaks are scattered all along its length. It has a fairly slow waves which are suitable for beginners.
Saunton Sands
Saunton Sands is a beach in the English village of Saunton on the North Devon coast near Braunton, popular as a longboard surfing location. Its southern end, 'Crow Point', lies at mouth of the River Taw estuary. It is part of the Taw-Torridge estuary Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is at the centre of the UNESCO-designated North Devon's Biosphere Reserve, where Braunton Burrows lies at the the heart.
Wrafton
Wrafton is a village on the outskirts of Braunton in North Devon, England. It is the location of Wrafton Laboratories, division of over-the-counter preparations and contract medications producer Perrigo UK, the manufacturer at Wrafton for Bayer UK of Germolene. Perrigo bought Wrafton Laboratories in 2001. RAF Chivenor is immediately to the south of the village, which until 1970 had a railway station on the now-closed Ilfracombe Branch Line.
Swanpool, Devon
Swanpool, near Braunton, Devon, England, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) managed by the Devon Wildlife Trust as a nature reserve. It is a small area of coastal grassland and marsh. Swanpool Marsh nature reserve forms part of the Braunton-Swanpool coastal marshland SSSI. Devon Wildlife Trust purchased it in 1988. Because it is close to sea level and poorly drained, the water table is at or near the surface for much of the year.
Saunton Golf Club
Saunton Golf Club is a private golf club in England, that is located about 2 miles to the west of Braunton, Devon. It was founded in 1897. Saunton has two golf courses, East and West, and has hosted many prestigious amateur championships including the English Amateur and the Brabazon Trophy on several occasions. In 1997, Sergio García won the British Boys' Championship at Saunton.
