Bovey Heath
Bovey Heath is a 32 hectare (50 acre) area of heathland between Bovey Tracey and Heathfield in south Devon, England. Although primarily heathland habitat, the site has some wet mature oak woodland, and is home to rare species such as the Dartford Warbler, stonechat, nightjar and the narrow headed ant. The reserve has been a Site of Special Scientific Interest since 1989. It became a Devon Wildlife Trust nature reserve in 2002 and a Local Nature Reserve in 2003.
Bovey railway station
Bovey railway station sometimes known as Bovey for Ilsington was on the Moretonhampstead and South Devon Railway at Bovey Tracey, Devon, England. The station was built on the west side of the town, opening on 26 June 1866. Two platforms were provided, with the main building and goods shed being on the town side of the line. The station closed to passengers on 28 February 1959, with goods trains continuing until 6 July 1970.
Great Rock Mine
Great Rock Mine is a disused micaceous haematite mine about 3 km north of the town of Bovey Tracey in Devon, England. It was worked from the 19th century until 1969, and was the last active mine in the Dartmoor National Park area. At its most active during the 1940s, the mine produced 2,500 tons of micaceous haematite per year.
Chudleigh Knighton Heath
Chudleigh Knighton Heath, near Chudleigh Knighton, Devon is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, so designated because of its rare lowland heath vegetation. It is a habitat for many rare species including the ant, Formica exsecta. This is one of only two wild colonies in England, the other being at Bovey Heath. The site is leased by the Devon Wildlife Trust from Sibelco formerly WBB Minerals.

Hawkmoor Hospital
Hawkmoor Hospital, originally known as Hawkmoor County Sanatorium, was a specialist hospital near Bovey Tracey in Devon, founded in 1913 as a pulmonary tuberculosis sanatorium as part of a network of such facilities. From 1948, the hospital catered for both patients with chest ailments (including tuberculosis) and mental health patients, and in 1972 the facility was renamed 'Hawkmoor Hospital' and dealt solely with mental health problems until its closure in 1987.

Brimley Halt railway station
Brimley Halt was a railway station open in 1928 by the Great Western Railway (GWR) to serve the village of Brimley that lies between Bovey Tracey amd Ilsington in South Devon, England. It had a single platform and was located on a curved section of track without a passing loop or sidings. A special train to Bovey Tracey visited Brimley Halt on the 5th July 1975, its last known use by a passenger train. The track had been lifted by 8th September 1975.
