Postbridge
Postbridge is a hamlet in the heart of Dartmoor in the English county of Devon. It is situated on the B3212, roughly midway between Princetown and Moretonhampstead. Postbridge is situated next to the East Dart river, one of two main tributaries of the River Dart, and consists of a few houses, a shop, a pub, and a national park tourist information centre. Postbridge is best known for its fine example of an ancient clapper bridge over the river.
Dartmeet
Dartmeet is a popular tourist spot in the centre of Dartmoor, Devon, England at grid reference SX672731. It lies at the end of the B3351 road, about 4.5 miles east of Two Bridges. From here, the road continues eastwards as a minor road with restrictions on the size of vehicles, past Poundsgate and over Holne Bridge and New Bridge to Ashburton on the edge of the moor.
Warren House Inn
The Warren House Inn is a remote and isolated public house in the heart of Dartmoor, Devon, England. It is the highest pub in southern England at 1,425 feet (434 m) above sea level. It is located on an ancient road across the moor, about 2 miles (3 km) north east of the village of Postbridge and has been a stopping point for travellers since the middle of the 18th century.
Dartmoor Way
The Dartmoor Way is a long-distance footpath and cycle route centred on the Dartmoor National Park in southern Devon, England. It is a circular route of approximately 140km (90 mi) that encompasses upland and moorland walking, deep Devon lanes, and also passes through towns and villages such as Okehampton, Chagford, Moretonhampstead, Buckfastleigh, Princetown and Tavistock. The Dartmoor Way links with the Tarka Trail, West Devon Way and Two Castles Trail.
O Brook
The O Brook is a short tributary of the West Dart River on Dartmoor in Devon, England. It lies near the village of Hexworthy, and the lower part of the stream forms the boundary between the parishes of Holne and Dartmoor Forest. An earlier form of the name was Ocbroke, and it apparently means "Oak Brook", although oaks are now rare in the area. The stream is notable for its historic tin mines.
