Stainsby Mill

Stainsby Mill is a 19th-century flour water mill in Doe Lea, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. The mill, which is in full working order, is under the ownership of the National Trust. The mill was originally constructed in 1849–50 and was restored in 1991. The Mill was worked with stainsby mill Farm until 1930s. The farm now has B and B. the web site is www. stainsbymillfarmbandb. co. uk The mill is located in the grounds of Hardwick Hall, another National Trust property.

Bolsover Cundy House

Bolsover Cundy House is a recently restored 17th century conduit house that was used to supply water to the nearby Bolsover Castle. It is located near Houfton Road in Bolsover. In the middle of the building is the brick water tank, which still collects water. It was built in the early 17th century and supplied water to the cistern house of Bolsover Castle until the 1920s. The roof is a solid stone vault to make it secure and impervious to decay, unlike timber.

Old Bolsover Town Council

Old Bolsover Town Council is a political/governmental area, within Bolsover (district), representing and administrating the town of Bolsover. The Town Council has been meeting in the Town Hall on Cotton Street since 1976. The Townhall has had a chequered history. Built as a Primitive Methodist Chapel, it later transferred to the Salvation Army and in 1911 first became council offices.

The Honour of Peverel (also known as the Feudal Barony of the Peak) is a geographic area in the north of England comprising part of the historic feudal barony held by the Norman Peverel family. The honour was granted to William Peverel (c. 1050 – c. 1115) by William the Conqueror. Historians speculate that Peverel was the illegitimate son of William the Conqueror, but this is not supported by any firm evidence.

Bolsover South railway station

Bolsover South railway station is a former railway station in Bolsover, Derbyshire. It was opened by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway in March 1897 and closed to all traffic by British Railways in December 1951 primarily due to the prohibitive cost of repairing and maintaining Bolsover Tunnel. Track lifting started immediately after closure and was completed within weeks.

Over Woodhouse

Over Woodhouse is a suburban area lying just North-West of Bolsover Towncentre, Derbyshire, just to the North of Bolsover Castle, on a hill facing it. The whole area is hemed-in by the A632, the B6419 to Shuttlewood, and two other roads which join together and lead to B6418 to Shuttlewood,lying just East of the former Bolsover Colliery. It consists primarily of one large Post-World War II housing estate. Though there are some older properties within it.
