Amber Valley
Amber Valley is a local government district and borough in Derbyshire, England. It takes its name from the River Amber and covers a semi-rural area with a number of small towns formerly based around coal mining and engineering. The parliamentary constituency of Amber Valley covers a similar area. The village of Crich and the Amber Valley area were the setting for the ITV drama series Peak Practice.

Breadsall Priory
Breadsall Priory is a former priory in Derbyshire situated some two kilometres north of Breadsall. It was a house of the Friars Eremites, founded, it is said, by the Dethick family, about the middle of the 13th Century, and subsequently converted into an Augustinian priory. Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1536 the site was granted by the Crown to the Duke of Suffolk.

Horston Castle
Horston Castle (sometimes spelt Horeston) is about 1 mile to the south of the village of Horsley, some 5 miles north of the English city of Derby. The ruinous site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument but, as at 2008, is a Building at Risk. It was a Norman motte and bailey castle which was founded by Ralph de Buron. In the 13th century King John built a stone castle, adding a keep, a chapel, a gatehouse and a barbican.
Horsley Woodhouse
Horsley Woodhouse is a village and civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, in the East Midlands of England. It is situated on the A609 road between the neighbouring villages of Kilburn and Smalley. The nearest towns are Heanor, situated 2.6 miles (4.2 km) northeast, and Belper, 3.2 miles (5.1 km) northwest, while the city of Derby is located about 6 miles (9.6 km) south-southwest.
Stanley and Stanley Common
Stanley and Stanley Common is a civil parish in south-east Derbyshire in the East Midlands of England. It comprises the villages of Stanley and Stanley Common. In former years, the civil parish was simply known as Stanley, but the name was changed in the 1990s. Although in the Borough of Erewash, the parish is in the UK Parliamentary Constituency of Mid Derbyshire.
Coxbench Hall
Coxbench Hall is a late 18th-century country house, now in use as a residential home for the elderly, situated at Holbrook, Amber Valley, Derbyshire. It is a Grade II listed building. The Manor of Coxbench was held anciently by the Franceys family until the daughter and heiress of the last male Franceys married William Brooks. Their grandson William Brooks Johnson MD (1763–1830) replaced the old manor house with the present house built by John Chambers of Horsley Woodhouse.
