Furness Vale railway station
Furness Vale railway station is 15+⁄4 miles south east of Manchester Piccadilly on the Manchester to Buxton line in England. This station has a level crossing at the end of the platform controlled by Furness Vale Signal Box which is situated just next to the crossing. The station is on the Stockport, Disley and Whaley Bridge line, originally built by the London and North Western Railway to connect with the Cromford and High Peak Railway and extended to Buxton in 1863.

The River Sett is a river that flows through the High Peak borough of Derbyshire, in north western England. The county boundary between Cheshire and Derbyshire divides the area between the two counties.
