Peak Cavern
The Peak Cavern, also known as the Devil's Arse (so called because of the flatulent-sounding noises from inside the cave when flood water is draining away), is one of the four show caves in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. Peakshole Water flows through and out of the cave.
Speedwell Cavern
The Speedwell Cavern is one of the four show caves in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. It consists of a horizontal lead miners' adit (a level passageway driven horizontally into the hillside) leading to the cavern itself, a limestone cave. The adit is permanently flooded, resulting in Speedwell Cavern's (locally unique) feature: after descending a long staircase, the visitor makes the journey into the cave by boat (originally legged through by the guide, but now powered by an electric motor).
Lose Hill
Lose Hill lies in the Derbyshire Peak District. It is the south-east corner of the parish of Edale and the end of the Great Ridge that runs from Rushup Edge to the west (over Mam Tor, Hollins Cross and Back Tor). Local access activist G. H. B. Ward was given an area of Lose Hill by the Sheffield and District Federation of the Ramblers Association in 1945, which was named Ward's Piece; he subsequently presented this to the National Trust. Its counterpart is Win Hill, lying to its east.
Treak Cliff Cavern
Treak Cliff Cavern is a show cave near Castleton in Derbyshire. It is part of the Castleton Site of Special Scientific Interest and by agreement with English Nature all the Blue John stone deposits on the visitor route are preserved. However, Blue John is regularly mined from areas not seen by visitors. This is then crafted into jewellery, small bowls, ornaments and other decorative items.
Peakshole Water
Peakshole Water is a stream in the Peak District, Derbyshire named after its source Peak Cavern. It flows through the village of Castleton to join the River Noe in nearby Hope.

The northern end of the dale starts at the village of Castleton where the valley sides are almost perpendicular and over 50 metres in height. The dale rises gently after leaving Castleton for approximately 200 metres before becoming steeper culminating in a fine viewpoint down the dale taking in Peveril Castle with Lose Hill behind (see picture).
A625 road
The A625 is a rural road which runs through north Derbyshire and the Peak District. First named Ecclesall Road, it begins at the Moore Street roundabout in Sheffield and runs southwesterly towards Hathersage after a change in name to Hathersage Road. Its course was, until a recent renumbering in 2000, westerly towards Hope and Castleton and Chapel-en-le-Frith where it joined the A6.
Titan (cave)
Titan is a natural cavern near Castleton in the Derbyshire Peak District, and is the deepest shaft of any known cave in Britain, at 141.5 metres . The existence of Titan was revealed in November 2006, following its discovery on 1 January 1999 after cavers discovered connections from the James Hall Over Engine Mine to both Speedwell Cavern and Peak Cavern. Previously, the deepest known underground shaft in Britain had been Gaping Gill on the slopes of Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales.
