Kirkby Stephen railway station
Kirkby Stephen railway station serves the town of Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria, England. It is operated by Northern Rail, which provides all passenger train services. The station is nearly a mile from the town at Midland Hill and was formerly known as Kirkby Stephen West because of the older Kirkby Stephen or Kirkby Stephen East station that was situated in the town and was on the North Eastern Railway's Stainmore and Eden Valley lines.
River Belah
The River Belah is a river in the county of Cumbria in England. The Belah is formed by the confluence of several small streams or sikes draining most of north and south Stainmore close to the border with County Durham and Yorkshire. It flows west with South Stainmore to north and Kaber parish to the south. The river is swollen by Argill Beck at Field Head and the Powbrand Beck near Thorney Scale. Having washed by Brough Sowerby, the Belah combines its waters with those of the River Eden.

Musgrave railway station was a railway station situated on the Eden Valley Railway between Penrith and Kirkby Stephen East, England. It served the villages of Great Musgrave, Little Musgrave and Brough. The station opened to passenger traffic on 9 June 1862, and closed on 3 November 1952.

Stainmore Railway Company is a volunteer run non-profit preservation company aiming to restore Kirkby Stephen East railway station in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, England. The station was formerly on the South Durham & Lancashire Union Railway and the company aims to relay a short section of track to allow train running. Even to join up with the Heritage Eden Valley Railway (at Warcop), respectively.
Great Musgrave
Great Musgrave is a village in the Eden district of Cumbria, England. It is about a mile west of Brough. Great Musgrave sits atop a hill near the river Eden and Swindale Beck. Its location provides views over the vale of Eden and the nearby northern Pennines. The village name comes from the Musgrave family who lived here. The stone church of St Theobald, on the edge of the village, dates from 1845-46, but two earlier churches (the first dating back to the 12th century) stood nearby.

Waitby is a small village and civil parish in the Eden district of Cumbria, England. The parish contains two small villages, Waitby and Smardale, plus the small hamlets of Riddlesay, Stripes and Leases, all of which are in the farmed and enclosured northern part at an elevation of around 200–300m. The southern half of the parish is mostly heath and unused for agriculture, it rises to Smardale fell; which it includes, at elevations between 300 and 400m.
