Eden District
Eden is a local government district in Cumbria, England. Its council is based in Penrith. It is named after the River Eden which flows north through the district toward Carlisle. It has an area of 2,156 km², making it (since 2009) the eighth largest district in England and the largest non-unitary district. It also has the lowest population density of any district in England and Wales, with a mean of just 25 persons per square kilometre. In 2011, the population was 5% above its 2001 level.
Penrith Castle
Penrith Castle was built between 1399 and 1470 as a defense against Scottish raids. It is believed to have been first built by William Strickland who later become Bishop of Carlisle. The castle is situated within the town of Penrith, Cumbria, England opposite the railway station.

The A592 road is a major route running north-south through the English Lake District. The road connects Penrith, and junction 40 of the M6 motorway, with Staveley at the southern tip of the lake, Windermere,, which is skirted by the A592 on its eastern bank; the road also follows the northern/western bank of Ullswater. It passes through Glenridding, Patterdale, the town of Windermere (where it crosses the A591 road), Bowness-on-Windermere and Storrs.
Eamont Bridge
Eamont Bridge is a small village immediately to the south of Penrith, Cumbria. The village is named after the River Eamont and straddles the boundary between the ancient counties of Cumberland and Westmorland. One of the houses in the village is called the "Welcome Inn" and was at one time the Welcome into Cumberland Inn.
Mayburgh Henge
Mayburgh Henge is a large prehistoric monument in the county of Cumbria in northern England. Mayburgh Henge is just outside the village of Eamont Bridge close to the confluence of the Rivers Eamont and Lowther around 1 mile south of Penrith, just a few hundred yards from the M6 motorway. Mayburgh Henge is in the care of English Heritage. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument - number 12002. The site consists of a single circular bank built using cobble stones from the nearby rivers.

It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Penrith, the archdeaconry of Carlisle, and the diocese of Carlisle. Its benefice is united with those of Christ Church, Penrith, St John, Newton Reigny, and St John the Evangelist, Plumpton Wall. The church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.
