Lakeside, Cumbria
Lakeside is a small settlement at the south end of Windermere, England. Now in the English county of Cumbria, before county reorganisation of 1974 it was in Lancashire, as part of the region known as Furness. It was established as a steamer pier for services along the lake when the Lakeside branch of the Furness Railway reached it in 1869, meaning that steamer services no longer had to negotiate the River Leven to Newby Bridge.

Stott Park Bobbin Mill
Stott Park Bobbin Mill was built in 1835 by John Harrison. Located near Newby Bridge, Cumbria, England, it provided the wooden bobbins to the Lancashire weaving and spinning industry, up to a quarter of a million bobbins per week. The mill was originally powered by a water wheel drawing the water supply from the nearby mill pond.

St Peter's Church, Finsthwaite
St Peter's Church, Finsthwaite, is in the village of Finsthwaite, Cumbria, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Leven Valley, the archdeaconry of Windermere, and the diocese of Carlisle. Its benefice is united with those of St Anne, Haverthwaite, and St Mary, Staveley-in-Cartmel. The church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building. St Peter's was designed by the Lancaster partnership of Paley and Austin.
Staveley Fell
Staveley Fell is an upland area in the English Lake District, near (and named for) Staveley-in-Cartmel (not to be confused with Staveley-in-Westmorland), Cumbria, east of the southern end of Windermere. It is the subject of a chapter of Wainwright's book The Outlying Fells of Lakeland, but he admits that: "Strictly it has no name, not even locally, being referred to on Ordnance maps as Astley's and Chapel House Plantations, which are new forests severely encroaching upon it".

It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building.
Simpson Ground Reservoir
Simpson Ground Reservoir is a reservoir in Cumbria, England, near the southeastern end of Lake Windermere. It is located within a Forestry Commission conifer plantation, to the east of Staveley-in-Cartmel and provides fresh water supply for Grange-Over-Sands and the Haweswater aqueduct to Barrow. The reservoir, which covers an area of 6.89 hectares (17 acres), was established in 1957.
